The recent elimination of Andrew Nguyen has seen the Day 3 field whittled down to just two tables of eight. It was chip leader Amit Varma who dealt the blow to Nguyen, getting Nguyen to commit his chips preflop holding 
agsainst his own 
. Varma's big-slick held up and Nguyen was sent hom in 17th place.
