Garnelis Georgios Tops Pack of 38 Day 1c Survivors in Event #5: €550 No-Limit Hold'em COLOSSUS

Greece's Garnelis Georgios (630,000) topped the end of day chip counts in Day 1c of Event #5: €550 No-Limit Hold'em COLOSSUS which played out at King's Resort, Rozvadov. The starting flight, which wrapped up after 18 levels of play had just 38 of the 363 entries bagging and tagging for Day 2.

Andreas Kuecuekkaplan (542,000) and Israel's Yosef Levi (542,000) round of the top three stacks advancing to the next stage of the event. Kuecuekkaplan knocked out Gudmundur Sigurjonsson with a turned full house.

The latter asked Kuecuekkaplan if he was slowrolling him as he took his time to call when the Icelandic player moved all-in.

Notable names who were who fell at the first hurdler include Krzysztof Dulowski, Ali Sameeian, Peter Da and WSOP bracelet winner Sebastian Langrock.

Liverpool's Daniel Myers fell late on in the night after moving all-in with top two pair, but found himself behind the flopped straight made by Volodymyr Siekhov. Despite not making Day 2, he secured a cash prize of €983.

With the recent government announcements in the Czech Republic, there will only be four total flights for this event. Starting tomorrow, there will only be one flight per day with a 1,000 player cap, starting at 10 a.m. each day. Day 2 players will also be returning at 10 a.m. and playing down to a final table, which will then be carried out on Day 3.

Myers Busts Late on Day 1c

With over 60,000 in the pot on the flop, Daniel Myers shoved in his last 110,000 chips from the small blind.

Action folded to Volodymyr Siekhov who-reshoved, pushing out Ionnas Tamaris.

Tamaris flopped the bottom end of the straight with a gut-shot straight flush draw while Myers had top two pair.

Myers was unable to boat up on the turn or the river to be eliminated. Jan Pettersson also was unable to bag up for Day 2.

Sannino Takes Another Pot

Georgios Kyritis pondered for a moment but folded in the small blind but Adrian Dan called in the big blind.

Ali Amelipour's Day 1c came to an end after he got in his stack preflop versus Mousa Awad.

Jan Kaschel opened to 4,000 and Amelipour moved in for 15,000. Mousa Awad re-shoved and Kaschel got out of the way.

Descultu Triples as Laubinger Busts

There was a three way all-in between Vasyl Zabrodskyy, Alessandro Laubinger and Claudiu Descultu.

Zabrodskyy covered all the players and Descultu was the shortest stack as he was all-in for 12,300.

Everyone had a bit of the flop but the shortest stack had the best of it.

Laubinger could still get the double and an elimination with his nut flush draw but was still at risk of busting himself with an inferior pair of aces.

The runout gave Descultu a triple up and Zabrodskyy's top pair, top kicker eliminated Laubinger.

Gudmundur Sigurjonsson, on the button, bet 5,400 on the flop after being checked to by Andreas Kuecuekkaplan and Stephan Kohlstetter. Only Kuecuekkaplan called.

Kuecuekkaplan checked again and Sigurjonsson, the shorter stack of the two, moved all-in for 15,200 on the turn. Kuecuekkaplan seemed to have a decision on his hands and thought for a minute before calling.

The World Series of Poker Europe Schedule Has Been Changed

Due to new government regulations, King's Resort has had to adjust the tournament schedule.

All WSOPE tournaments are still on the schedule but the starting time of those events have changed to accommodate the new rules:

The most important one, for now, is that The Colossus now only has one starting flight per day with a cap of 1,000 which will start at 10 a.m on Friday, November 26, and Saturday, November 27
