Back on the Rise

Nível 20 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Christopher Back had one of the shorter stacks in the beginning of Day 2, but he managed to chip up, sitting now with more than 50 big blinds.

In one of his last hands he was in the small blind against Shawn Stroke on the button. The board was reading {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Back check-called a bet for 54,000 chips.

The river was the {6-Diamonds} and Back led for 110,000 chips with Stroke tanking for a long time before finally releasing his hand. He asked Back if he had it, and he replied negatively showing {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} from his hand for a busted flush draw.

Deeb Busts Madsen to Extend Lead

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

The flop was reading {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Jeff Madsen was in the small blind, leading for 31,000. Deeb decided to pot after some consideration and then action was very quick, with Madsen putting the rest of his stack in the middle and Deeb calling.

Jeff Madsen: {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Shaun Deeb: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The {3-Hearts} in the turn didn't change anything but the {q-Spades} in the river gave a better two pair to Deeb who is the first player that gets over one million chips.
