Romero Sends Phua to the Rail

Paul Phua raised from the button with an effective stack of around 2,200,000 and James Romero moved all in out of the big blind, Phua called and was ahead in the following showdown.

The {J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop improved Romero to a pair of jacks, and the {5-Diamonds} turn and {7-Spades} river brought no help for Phua.

Addamo Sends Tariq to the Rail

Niall Farrell made it 200,000 from early position and Michael Addamo came along from one seat over. Ali Tariq in the blinds three-bet all in for 1,955,000 and Farrell gave it some thought before sending his cards into the muck. Addamo, however, quickly called and Tariq was in need of help.

The board came {K-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{K-Spades} and Tariq was eliminated, while Addamo further increased his big stack.

Feature Table: Schwippert Scooped by Yu

Winfred Yu raised from under the gun and was called by Asaf Berman in the cutoff. Jan-Eric Schwippert did the same from the big blind.

The flop came {5-Spades}{a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and they all checked to the {4-Spades} on the turn, Schwippert was the only one to call the 250,000 bet of Yu.

The river completed the board with the {10-Spades}, Schwippert checked again. Yu now put Schwippert all-in who called after tanking for a while.

Yu had turned the set which beat the top pair Schwippert had flopped and Schwippert was sent away from the feature table.

Four-Bet by Sekularac

Joni Jouhkimainen raised to 220,000 and Christian Rudolph in the cutoff three-bet to 605,000. Ognjen Sekularac squeezed to 1,525,000 in the small blind. Jouhkimainen asked to see the stack of Sekularac and folded, Rudolph also quickly let go.

At the same time on a different table, Orpen Kisacikoglu check-called a bet of 400,000 by Michael Bleg in a battle small blind versus late position and the turn showing {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. The {7-Spades} on the river was checked and Kisacikoglu showed the {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} for a busted straight draw. Bleg had that beat with {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} for aces and sevens to drag in the pot.

Kabrhel Recovers His Loss

Just moments after losing some chips, Martin Kabrhel found himself in another big pot against Michael Bleg. With a little over 300,000 in the middle and the flop reading {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Bleg led out for 300,000 from the big blind. Kabrhel raised to 1,000,000 and Bleg called.

The turn brought the {q-Spades} and Bleg checked this time. Kabrhel bet 1,500,000, nearly his entire stack. Bleg exchanged some words in Czech with Kabrhel and then let his hand go to the muck.

Feature Table: One for Aldemir

Jan-Eric Schwippert raised to 180,000 from the button with {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Koray Aldemir defended his big blind with {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

The flop came {9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for Aldemir to flop a pair of fours. Aldemir checked and Schwippert continued with a bet of 140,000 which Aldemir called after considering his options.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds}, Aldemir glanced at Schwippert and decided to check again. Schwippert did the same.

The {j-Hearts} on the river completed the board to keep Aldemir ahead, they both checked again to see the pot get awarded to Aldemir

With almost 1.9 million in the pot and the board showing {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Clubs}, Jean-Noel Thorel bet 1.6 million and Martin Kabrhel was to act. He took almost two minutes to make up his mind and folded, mentioning in table chat he was suspecting a set for Thorel.

Aido Ousted by Pollak

Kristen Bicknell raised to 175,000 from under the gun and Benjamin Pollak three-bet to 490,000 from the hijack. Sergio Aido was sitting in the big blind and considering his options. After a while, he decided to shove for 1,820,000. Bicknell quickly folded but Pollak asked for a count. The dealer confirmed the amount.

"Oh, I cover you! That's good news." Pollak said before making the call.
