Gonzalez Shrinks the Field

Nível 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Fabrizio Gonzalez raised to 255,000 in early position and Ole Schemion pushed all in for 805,000 in the small blind. Gonzalez asked for a count and then made the call to put Schemion at risk.

Fabrizio Gonzalez: {a-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Ole Schemion: {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} to give Gonzalez a pair of aces and the lead. The {6-Clubs} on the turn and the {8-Hearts} on the river was no help to Schemion as he was eliminated.

In the very next hand, Gonzalez made it 260,000 from under the gun. James Chen was in the big blind and ripped all in for his last 885,000. Gonzalez made the call again and was in a great position.

Fabrizio Gonzalez: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
James Chen: {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} giving Gonzalez a queen-high straight. Chen exited the tournament area and another table collapsed.

Addamo Forces Out Schemion; Chen Triples

Nível 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

James Chen was already all in and at risk while Michael Addamo and Ole Schemion in the blinds played for the side pot. On the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{Q-Spades} turn, Addamo bet 300,000 and Schemion called with 805,000 behind.

Addamo jammed the {4-Spades} river and Schemion reluctantly surrendered.

Addamo turned over the {K-Clubs}{10-Spades} for a busted draw and Chen tripled with the {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

"Yessss, I put you on that hand. The only way I could win, Mike," Chen said in table chat. He remains short, however, and needs another triple or double up to get back into contention.

Feature Table: Another One for Kempe

Nível 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Asaf Berman limped in from under the gun with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Rainer Kempe did the same from the cutoff with {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. Koray Aldemir opted to check his big blind holding {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The flop came {2-Spades}{j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, Aldemir checked, Berman bet 215,000 which only Kempe called.

The turn brought them the {q-Hearts} and now Berman checked. Kempe took over the initiative and lead out for 640,000. Berman tanked while riffling chips, counting out calling chips but then folded after about 90 seconds.

Teoh Can't Win a Flip

Nível 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy opened to 275,000 from early position and Paul Teoh stuck in the last of his 640,000 chips on the button. The action came back to Troyanovskiy who made an easy call.

Vladimir Troyanovskiy: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Paul Teoh: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Troyanovskiy was still in the lead with his pocket nines. Neither player held a diamond in their hand for a flush draw leaving Teoh drawing to an ace or jack. The turn was the {3-Hearts} and the river brought the {6-Hearts}, sending Teoh to the rail.

Yap Doubles Through Chen

Nível 18 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

James Chen had shoved several times in the last level without being called and just did so again for 1,555,000 from middle position. Jun Wah Yap called on the button and the blinds got out of the way.

Jun Wah Yap: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
James Chen: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

Chen was in need of help and found just that on the {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop. The {6-Diamonds} turn was no threat, however, the {8-Clubs} on the river restored the preflop order and Yap doubled for 1,080,000.

Feature Table: Kempe Kicks Peters Out

Nível 17 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
David Peters
David Peters

Rainer Kempe raised to 260,000 from the button and David Peters called in the big blind.

The flop came {k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}, Peters checked and Kempe continued with a bet of 200,000 which Peters called.

The turn was the {k-Hearts}, Peters checked once more. Kempe bet 1,200,000 to put Peters all-in, Peters counted out his stack and then decided to make the call.

David Peters: {Q-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Rainer Kempe: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

They both held two pair but Kempe was ahead with the higher kicker. Peters needed a queen to double up or another eight to split the pot but the {6-Diamonds} on the river wasn't that as Peters was eliminated.

Adams Asserting Dominance

Nível 17 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Just moments after sending Johannes Becker to the rail, Timothy Adams was at it again applying pressure to his opponents. Gianluca Speranza opened to 225,000 from under the gun and Adams re-raised to 700,000 in the hijack. Speranza called and the two players went heads-up to the flop.

The dealer spread the flop of {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} and Speranza started with a check. Adams tossed in a bet of 425,000 and Speranza wasted little time before sending his cards to the muck.
