On a flop reading and around 270,000 in the pot, Christoph Vogelsang checked from the big blind to Liv Boeree who bet 100,000 from early position. Vogelsang check-raised to 325,000 and Boeree shipped all in for 900,000. Vogelsang called and the hands were face up.

Her hands went up in the air with a big smile on her face as she was finally able to win a pot. Boeree doubled up to over starting stack and remains alive towards the end of Day 1.
Ognjen Sekularac opened to 100,000 from under the gun and Carlo Savinelli called on the button. The flop came and Sekularac continued for 90,000. Savinelli made the call and the landed on the turn.
Sekularac checked and Savinelli seized the opportunity to bet 140,000. Sekularac, however, check-raised to 290,000 and Savinelli called. The river double-paired the board with the and Sekularac checked. Savinelli fired a large bet of 775,000. Sekularac quickly mucked his hand and Savinelli proceeded to show for a missed straight draw.
Abdelhadi Khangah check-called a bet of 60,000 from Ole Schemion out of the small blind on a flop and the turn was the . Khangah check-called a bet of 155,000 before the river came the .
Khangah bet 425,000 and after a short consideration, Schemion called. Khangah showed for a pair of aces and took down the pot.
On the turn, the board read and Steffen Sontheimer had 400,000 in front of him. Ali Fatehi check-raised all in for 1,350,000 and Sontheimer didn't like it.
"Count please," he asked. Sontheimer took another thirty seconds before making up his mind.
"I cannot fold this," he said.

Vojtech Ruzicka raised to 120,000 on the button, Patrik Antonius three-bet shoved 1,000,000 from the small blind, Ilya Bulychev reshoved from the big blind and Ruzicka quickly folded.

The flop was as safe as they could come for the Fin, who doubled up after the turn and river.
Jan Schwippert raised to 90,000 from under the gun, Jordi Urlings three-bet to 290,000 on the button, Sam Trickett cold-called from the small blind and Schwippert called as well.
Despite the substantial preflop action, Schwippert would be the only one to put a bet in postflop. After the flop got checked around, Schwippert took it with a 550,000 bet on the turn.
With the pot having around 250,000 in the middle already, Koray Aldemir bet 175,000 from the hijack on a board reading . Dario Sammartino was sitting in the cutoff and made the call.
The river brought the , putting two four-card straights on the board. Aldemir fired another 480,000 and Sammartino leaned back in his seat with his hands on his head. He tanked for over two minutes and then looked across the dealer at Aldemir, trying to get a read on him. Aldemir turned away from the table, hiding his face from Sammartino who eventually folded.
"I folded a straight," Sammartino pointed out after the hand. "I never thought I would ever fold a straight."
