Marco Johnson opened for 10,000 in the cutoff and called a three-bet to 36,000 from Phil Galfond, who had the button. The flop came , and Johnson checked. Galfond bet 75,000 and quickly called when Johnson shoved for 99,000.
Galfond:
Johnson:
Johnson had flopped absolutely everything, the nuts plus the nut draw. Galfond needed a world of help and didn't find it, though the turn did give him outs for a flush. The river was a brick, though.
Phil Hellmuth was down to his last 25,000 when Cary Katz opened from under the gun. Hellmuth stuck his last chips in from the big blind, and Katz wasn't folding.
Hellmuth:
Katz:
Hellmuth took an even bigger lead after the flop, slashing some of Katz's outs. A on the turn gave Katz an inside straight draw, and an on the river completed it. "The Poker Brat" calmly said his goodbyes and walked out of the tournament area.
Michael Mizrachi completed, Scott Seiver raised and got a call from "The Grinder".
Seiver bet fourth street, and Mizrachi called. On fifth street, Mizrachi caught his third low card to a straight flush, and Seiver check-called a bet. Mizrachi put another bet in on sixth street, and both players checked on seventh street.
"Two pair," said Mizrachi, who tabled . Seiver knocked the table in defeat and mucked his cards.
Matt Glantz ended up all in on the flop, facing off with Elior Sion.
Matt Glantz:
Elior Sion:
Glantz was ahead, but Sion had plenty of outs with his combo draw. One of them emerged right on the turn as the hit the felt. Glantz immediately knew his rally was coming to a close, standing up from his chair. The river confirmed Sion's victory, and the players at the table offered, "Good game," to Glantz. Sion even apologized for the knockout, but Glantz took the beat like a good sport.
Sion is now only few big bets away from reaching a 1 million-chip mark.
Daniel Negreanu raised on the button, Ivo Donev made it three bets in the small blind, and Harry Madoff called in the big. Negreanu came along, as well. Donev took two, Madoff three, and Negreanu two.
"You take three, you rate to get better cards. Right, Danny?" Madoff asked with a chuckle.
Donev bet again and got two calls. Donev took one this time, while Madoff still wanted three and Negreanu two. Donev again bet and got two calls.
On the last pull, Donev patted. Madoff took one, and Negreanu took another pair. Donev's final bet went uncalled, but he showed he wasn't bluffing as he had an eight-seven.
Elior Sion bet on fifth street with three wheel cards out, getting a call from Brett Richey called with on his board.
Sixth street paired both boards with Sion picking up another three while Richey spiked a deuce. Richey acted first and he opted to lead out. Sion called.
The river brought a check from Richey, who called Sion's final bet.

Sion rolled over his eighty-six, knowing he had the winning hand.
In the battle of the blinds, Jon Turner was first to act, firing a big bet of 47,000 with the board reading . Alexander Kostritsyn spent a good amount of time thinking and eventually woke up with a big raise.
Turner didn't seem to expect that and immediately jumped from his chair. "For f***'s sake," he said in anger, flipping up his before throwing them to the muck.
Kostritsyn remained calm, sending his cards face-down to the dealer.
