Wong Boats Up

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

With about 5,500 in the pot and the board reading {9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, the small blind checked. A player in the big blind bet out 3,500. The hijack called and Danny Wong in the cutoff raised all in. The small blind folded and the big blind put all of his chips in, totalling roughly 7,000. The hijack tanked for a minute and folded.

Wong tabled {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a set of tens. The big blind showed {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a flush draw and a gutshot straight draw.

The turn was the {a-Spades} and the river the {9-Spades}, giving Wong a full house and a massive stack at this stage of the tournament.

George Dimitriadis was in the blinds and got his remaining 3,725 in the middle. There were four players that appeared to have called an open-raise in early position of 1,000. The initial raiser called and Dimitriadis and all other players folded.

Dimitriadis: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Opponent: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Dimitriadis needed a lot of help if he was going to survive. The flop did just that when the {7-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} hit the board. The turn was the {7-Clubs}, putting a bit of a sweat out there with the possible full houses that could beat Dimitriadis. The river was flipped over and the {6-Hearts} completed things and Dimitriadis didn't just win the hand with a flush, but made a straight flush to the ten to save his tournament life. How's that for a story to tell your friends?! Dimitriadis will remember this one for a long time.

Ferguson Gets Paid

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

On a board reading {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} with about 11,000 in the pot, the big blind checked. Chris Ferguson bet 6,500 and his opponent called. Ferguson tabled {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for two pairs and his opponent mucked his cards and paid him.
