Berkey Over Ladouceur

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Three ways to the {7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{9-Diamonds} turn, Marc-Andre Ladouceur bet 6,500 from the small blind. Cutoff Matt Berkey was next to act, and he paused for a moment before raising to 17,500. Berkey's left-hand opponent still looked to be interested in capturing the pot, but eventually laid it down.

Ladouceur was also tempted, asking the dealer about the size of the raise. Berkey remained stoic, and Ladouceur let his hand go.

Heath Has Heaps Already

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

After a {4-Hearts}{j-Spades}{a-Diamonds} flop, Ben Heath bet 1,800 on the button when two players checked to him. Both Joe Serock, in early position, and Jan Schwippert, a couple of seats over, put in calls. On the {k-Spades} turn, Heath barreled again for 4,800. This time, only Serock called. The river was the {9-Diamonds}, and Serock checked. Heath dropped in enough to put him all in, and Serock snap-mucked.

Kakhmazov Dispatched

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Down to last 1,325, Nadar Kakhmazov shoved from the button over a raise to 1,000 from a player in the hijack. Nobody else joined the contest, and Kakhmazov's opponent threw in one more chip, calling.

Nadar Kakhmazov: {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Kakhmazov saw he was a favorite and looked to his left-hand neighbor: "Good, bro," he shouted in excitement.

Both players caught a piece on the {6-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop, with Kakhmazov drawing for a flush, trying to avoid his opponents' open-ender. The {A-Spades} turn was safe for the Russian bracelet winner, but the {10-Spades} river ended Kakhmazov's chances at taking down another $5,000 event here at the 2017 WSOP.

He offered, "Good luck," to the table before leaving the tournament room.

Ho Strikes Back, Hurts Engel With Aces

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Maria Ho fold to Ari Engel's river raise during the last level, and Ho just got her sweet revenge.

They swapped roles this time, with Engel betting 4,000 into a pot of about 5,000 chips on the river of the {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{A-Spades}{9-Clubs} board.

Ho was in the cutoff, and she raised to 13,000.

"Fours," Engel whispered among other thoughts he had when guessing Ho's hand. She remained silent.

Dani Stern eventually called the clock on Engel, and the floorperson gave him 30 seconds. Engel needed about a third of that, throwing in the calling chips.

Ho turned up {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} for aces full, raking in the sizable pot.

Merson Shows Rheem

Nível 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

With about 6,000 already in the middle, Greg Merson bet 3,600 in middle position on a board of {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Chino Rheem was thinking things over on his left and told Merson he was going to let him have it, showing him {a-}{j-}. Merson showed {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a combo draw.

Rheem went rabbit hunting and rolled over the {10-Clubs}.

Ladouceur Pulls Out a Four-Bet

Nível 5 : 150/300, 50 ante
Marc-Andre Ladouceur
Marc-Andre Ladouceur

Under the gun, Marc-Andre Ladouceur raised to 800, receiving two calls. The player on the button and Matt Berkey, in the small blind, matched the price, but the big blind had another plan. He squeezed to 3,800, giving the ball back to Ladouceur.

Ladouceur took about two minutes to figure out his next action. He looked at big blind's stack, then at his own. Eventually, he placed in 8,200, and all of his opponents released their hands within a few seconds.
