Hani Mio Takes One

Nível 25 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Jason DeWitt limped from early position, Hani Mio was next to act and limped as well, Scott Clements limped from the cutoff, and Eoghan O'Dea raised to 250,000 from the button. DeWitt called, Mio called as well, and Clements folded.

The flop came {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades} and all three players checked.

The turn brought the {6-Hearts} and DeWitt checked. Mio announced a pot-sized bet of 875,000 and O'Dea quickly folded. DeWitt went into the tank for over two minutes, but he ultimately folded as well and Mio took the pot.

The first hand of the final table saw Tommy Le with a raise to 125,000 from the button and Scott Clements called in the small blind. On the {Q-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop, Clements checked and Le continued for 150,000, which Clements called. The same action repeated on the {5-Clubs} turn for 200,000 before both players checked through the {8-Spades} river.

Clements announced pocket aces and turned over {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} to claim the first post.

Le got a few chips back the next hand when his raise to 125,000 from the cutoff claimed the blinds uncontested.

After a very fast-paced Day 3, the 428-entry strong field of the 2017 World Series of Poker Event #54: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed Championship was reduced to the last eight hopefuls and they decided to bag up for the night when the official final table was reached. The lion's share of the $4,023,200 prize pool is still up for grabs and an additional fourth day was added to the schedule. The action will recommence on the live stream table via PokerGo today as of 1 p.m. local time on Saturday, July 1, 2017.

Scott "BigRiskky" Clements led the field after Day 2 and also claimed the top spot for the final table after bagging up 5,480,000. Second in chips is Tommy Le with 4,065,000 and 2011 November Niner Eoghan O'Dea follows in third place with 2,895,000. Le final-tabled three WSOP Omaha events last year and his career-best result comes off a runner-up finish to Jens Kyllonen in Event #62: $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller (8-Handed) for a payday of $696,558. He also finished third in this very event in 2016 as well.

Clements has already won two gold bracelets in Omaha tournaments in 2006 and 2007, respectively, and is aiming to make it three. Jason DeWitt is looking for the same feat; He emerged victorious in Event #17: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em in 2010 and won his second bracelet last year in Event #14: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em MILLIONAIRE MAKER. DeWitt comes into the final day in the middle of the pack with 2,560,000.

The other finalists include Hani Mio (2,720,000), Chris Lee (2,135,000), Miltiadis Kyriakides (1,275,000) and German Twitch streamer Murat Tulek (425,000). Lee is also among those to already own a WSOP bracelet, he won Event #29: $2,500 10-Game Mix 6-Handed for a payday of $254,955. All eight title contenders already have $79,599 guaranteed for their efforts, but all eyes are set on the first-place payout of $938,732 and securing their spot in WSOP history.
