Johanssy Joseph Eliminated by Arash Behnam

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Johanssy Joseph raised on the button, Arash Behnam three-bet from the small blind, and Joseph four-bet.

Behnam called and they saw a flop of {K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Behnam bet out, Joseph raised, and Behnam called. The turn was the {8-Hearts}, and Behnam check-called a bet from Joseph. On the {2-Spades} river, Behnam checked, Joseph went all in for 3,500, and Behnam called.

Joseph had pocket queens, but it was no good against Behnam's {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} for two pair, kings and deuces, with an ace kicker. Joseph was eliminated, and Behnam collected the pot.

"I was pretty sure he had pocket aces," Behnam said after the hand.

A Full Quadruple-Up for Ian Johns

Nível 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante
Ian Johns
Ian Johns

In a four-way, single-raised pot, the flop came {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Ray Henson checked in the small blind, Carmen Fung checked in the big blind, and Ian Johns bet with 1,000 chips behind. Matt Grapenthien called on the button, and so did Henson and Fung. The turn was the {5-Hearts}, and the blinds checked again. Johns went all in for his last 1,000 chips, and all three opponents just called.

The river was the {9-Spades}, and the three players that could still bet for a side pot all checked.

Johns announced, "Aces up," and tabled {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts} for aces and fives. His hand was good against Grapenthien's {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}, as well as the others' pocket twos and pocket fours.

Tablemate Christopher Chung laughed as he told Johns, "We had four outs total to bust you."

Johns explained to his tablemates, "You gotta wait for the goods. You can't just put it in with anything."

Just a little while ago down to 12,000 chips, the three-time bracelet winner collected the pot to quadruple up to 58,000.

Ian Johns was down to around 12,000 chips, and he raised in middle position. He kept telling each opponent left to act, "Ten thousand."

It folded to Matt Grapenthien in the big blind, who raised, and Johns called for the rest of his chips.

Johns: {A-Spades}{8-Spades}
Grapenthien: {Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The board ran out {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} {K-Spades} {2-Diamonds}, and Johns, who has three bracelets, including two in Limit Hold'em events, doubled through.

After the hand, tablemate Christopher Chung, who was on the button, said, "Aw, I bust him!" meaning he would have won the hand had he played.

Johns replied, "You don't want to do that. I'm a pretty nice guy."

The flop came {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, and the two players got all in. Tran held {a-Spades}{j-Spades} against the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} of Snider. Neither player hit the turn or the river, and Tran was eliminated shortly after returning from dinner break.
