Mendez is Hart-Broken

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Three players saw the 854 flop and Ismir Dupljak checked to Drew Hart who dropped a bet of 5,500 across the line. Matthew Mendez was on the button and jammed for 32,500, Dupljak called and Hart jammed all-in, putting Dupljak at risk. After a few moments, Dupljak mucked his hand.

Matthew Mendez: J9 All in
Drew Hart: 55

Hart flopped a set of fives but Mendez still had outs as he flopped a flush draw, although the 3 turn and 2 river were no help as he left the table.

Gilmore Doubles With Nuts

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Arriving on a completed board of 58J23, Ibrahim Naim had made a bet of 14,000 into a pot of 35,000 chips from the big blind.

Jeffrey Gilmore then jammed all in for 38,000, sending Naim into the tank. Eventually, he decided he could not fold and put in a call.

Gilmore tabled A10 for the nut flush, beating the J8 of Gilmore, who played two pair.

Selbst Pays Off Steinwachs

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Benjamin Steinwachs opened to 3,000 in the cutoff and Vanessa Selbst defended in the big blind.

Action checked through the K53 flop to the A turn at which point both players checked once more.

The river came 8 and Selbst checked one more time. Steinwachs, unwilling to go to a cheap showdown, fired off 10,000. Selbst took quite a bit of time before calling, seemingly with some reluctance. Steinwachs tabled A7 for top pair, which was good enough to take down the pot.

Pantaleo Eliminated by Mankin

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Giuseppe Pantaleo
Giuseppe Pantaleo

Erle Mankin was one of more than 200 late entrants on Day 2abc and he just turned some small profit after sending Giuseppe Pantaleo to the rail. The latter had jammed for 9,500 and the hijack clicked it back to 16,500. Mankin then pushed all-in for 49,000 to force out everyone else.

Giuseppe Pantaleo: QJ All in
Erle Mankin: QQ

The board ran out 95394 and Pantaleo was felted. He jokingly made a fuss about it in jest and then joked "it will sound to them as if it was a 200k pot". Mankin replied "it was to us" as he had been nursing a shorter stack thus far.

Kennedy Rivers a Straight to Double Up

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Maria Ho raised to 3,000 from early position. She was called by a player in middle position and Darren Kennedy out of the big blind.

The three players checked the 979 flop to see the 6 come on the turn. Kennedy led out for 3,500 and Ho called. The middle position player then raised to 9,000 which only got called by Kennedy.

Kennedy checked the 5 river and his opponent bet 40,000, which was enough to put Kennedy all-in. Kennedy agonized over the decision for roughly a minute but eventually put in the call.

His opponent showed 76 for two pair, nines and sevens. Kennedy flipped over 87 for a straight to win the pot.

Nível 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Action was joined at the river with the board reading 910AQQ. From the button, David Manikos bet 30,500 into a pot of about 47,000.

Johannes Lehner was in the cutoff and moved all in to put Manikos to the test for his remaining chips.

He thought for several moments and after multiple minutes, the clock was called. The floor came over and gave the countdown to zero where the hand was declared dead.

Ryan Knoll: Q10 All in
