2024 World Series of Poker
There was a raise from early position to 1,000. Jamie Gold called from middle position before Eshaan Bhalla, who only had 600 chips remaining in his stack, called all-in from the button.
The early position player and Gold checked the hand all the way down on the 10♦6♦3♦A♦9♥ board, and the cards were revealed.
Eshaan Bhalla: K♣K♠
Jamie Gold: J♣9♣
Early position: 10♣7♣
Bhalla's pocket kings held up, and he quadrupled up.
Paul DeGiulio raised from under the gun, receiving calls from Nenad Cvetkovic in the hijack and Vincent Cummings in the big blind.
The Q♥3♦J♣ flop saw the action check to DeGiulio, who bet out 2,500. Cvetkovic folded and Cummings called.
The 6♥ turn saw Cummings check-call a bet of 5,500 from DeGiulio.
The 5♥ river checked to a showdown. DeGiulio tabled A♣Q♣ for top pair; good enough to see Cummings cards go into the muck.
Picking up the action on the river, Matthew Lambrecht in the cutoff was involved in a hand with Brian Landon in late position.
With the board reading A♦3♣6♠3♦Q♥ Landon bet 6,000. Lambrecht responded with a raise to 20,500. That sent Landon into the tank as he considered a call. Eventually, he did put in the additional chips, though quickly regretted it as Lambrecht turned over A♥Q♠, beating Landon's A♣K♦ to the pot.
A player in the hijack opened to 1,200 and was called by a player in the cutoff before Cameron Mixson three-bet to 4,500 from the button. The hijack called before the cutoff four-bet to 20,000. Both Mixson and the hijack called creating a pot worth just over 60,000 going to the flop.
On the 8♣7♥2♦ flop action checked around to Mixson who shoved for a bit over 60,000. The hijack quickly folded and after taking a couple minutes to consider his options the cutoff folded as well.
Mixson revealed he had J♥J♠ for an overpair before dragging in the massive pot without showdown.
While PokerNews were roaming the tournament floor for action, it was noticed that Chino Rheem's seat was empty and void of any chips, which meant that since returning from dinner, he has been eliminated.
