Big Slick Does the Trick for Bareisis

Picking up the action partway through the hand, Marius Bareisis in late position was all in and at risk for his remaining 20,000 against an opponent in the cutoff.

It was a classic race but one that Bareisis won after the board ran out 52A89 to pair up the at risk player, dealing a hefty blow to his opponent.

Lee Sends Punsri to Rail

Action picked up on a board showing 782 with Punnat Punsri involved in a hand against Jangkyu Lee and another player.

Punsri, who had less than 25,000, led out with a 5,000 bet. Lee looked at Punsri from across the table and raised to 25,400. The other player in the hand immediately folded and Punsri called to put his tournament at risk.

Punsri had the flush draw, but he was behind Lee’s overpair to the board.

The dealer placed 10 on the turn, and then the 4 gave Lee the winning hand and sent Punsri to the rail.

Roy Takes from Perzinski

With two players seeing a board of A99 and about 2,500 in the middle Stephen Marcus checked in the big blind and Brian Perzinski bet 500 from the hijack. Helmut Roy raised to 2,000 from the cutoff, Marcus folded and Perzinski called.

Perzinski check-called a 2,000 bet from Roy on the Q turn. Both players then checked the 7 river.

Roy tabled aces up with AJ and Perzinski's hand hit the muck.

Eisenberg Chipping Up

Lara Eisenberg opened to 800 from early position and Clemens von Blanckenburg three-bet to 2,800 from middle position. Action folded back around to Eisenberg, who responded with a four-bet to 8,000. von Blanckenburg flatted to see a flop.

The flop came 510K, prompting Eisenberg to continue for 3,300. After some thought, von Blanckenburg laid down his hand to concede a healthy pot to Eisenberg

Haxton Gets Put in a Tough Spot by Liu

The pot stood at approximately 27,000 with two players looking at a board dealt to the turn as it read 6425.

Xiaohu Liu, in middle position, bet out for 17,000. Isaac Haxton, in the hijack, went deep into the tank.

Haxton, visibly thrown off by Liu's bet, thought for some time before finally making the fold, claiming to have made a big lay down.

Big Slick Does Not Do the Trick for Ormson

Wisconsin's Larry Ormson raised to 700 under the gun and cleared the field all the way to the player in the big blind, who opted to defend.

The flop came down 7J2 and action went check-check, as it did on the 9 turn.

When the Q completed the board on the river, the player in the big blind checked and Ormson bet 2,000. The big blind quickly called and showed KxQx for a rivered pair, which bested the AxKx of Ormson.

Zukowicz Runs Kings into Touitou's Aces

Monika Zukowicz opened to 800 from early position and was three-bet by Steven Touitou to 2,400 in the hijack. The action folded back to Zukowicz who four-bet to 7,200, and Touitou called.

The flop came 5JQ and Zukowicz continued with a bet of 4,000, which Touitou called.

A 10 landed on the turn where Zukowicz counted out another bet and put 8,000 chips into the pot. Touitou took his time before he called.

When the 8 completed the board, both players quickly checked it down.

Zukowicz tabled KK, and Touitou had the winner with AA.
