2024 World Series of Poker
With three players seeing a board of 6♠8♣A♣Q♠ and about 7,000 in the middle, a player in the big blind checked and Joseph Kozah bet 6,000 from the hijack. Shiina Okamoto called from the button while the big blind got out of the way.
Both players checked the 9♠ river and Kozah turned over a set with 6♥6♦. Okamoto showed the A♥ for at least top pair before mucking her hand.
With two players seeing a flop of J♣10♥2♥ and about 5,000 in the middle a player from under the gun checked and Felipe Ketzer bet 2,000, receiving a call from his opponent.
Ketzer bet again when checked to on the K♣ turn and this time his opponent opted to fold.
On a board of K♦8♣9♣Q♣Q♠, there were 8,500 chips in the pot when Chino Rheem fired 9,000. Zyad Qasem made the call, and the button tanked for a while before folding.
Rheem tabled 9♥9♦ for a full house, but Qasam held the winner with Q♦8♦ for a bigger boat.
Santhosh Survarna, who won the highest buy-in event at this year's WSOP, recently sat down and has chipped up a bit.
In a recent hand, the player under the gun limped and Suvarna raised to 1,600 from the hijack. Action folded back around to the limper, who called.
Suvrana's opponent check-folded facing a 1,700 bet on the 7♣2♦10♦ flop to send the pot Survana's way.
On a flop of Q♥3♥8♣, Tim Reilly called a bet of 2,500 from Mohamed Mokrani. The turn was the 6♥. Mokrani fired 5,000. Reilly raised to 20,000 and Mokrani called after thinking a while.
The river came the 10♠. Reilly put the pressure on Mokrani by jamming all in. Mokrani went into the tank and thought for several moments before electing to eventually call.
Reilly tabled the AxKx which Mokrani had beat with the QxQx set.
Ryan Feldman raised to 1,000 from early position and was called by Jamie Gold on the button and Charles Gill from the big blind.
Gill checked to Feldman on the K♥4♠Q♣ flop and he bet 1,100. Gold folded, but Gill check-raised to 3,500. Feldman made the call and they headed to the turn.
The A♥ on the turn saw Gill check-call a bet of 4,000 from Feldman.
Gill checked again on the J♦ river and faced a bet of 11,100 from Feldman. Gill went into the tank for around a minute before making the call. Feldman tabled K♠10♣ for a rivered straight to win the pot.
The hijack raised to 1,000, Patrick Delkof three-bet to 3,500 from the small blind and Anton Smirnov cold four-bet to 8,500, from the big blind. The hijack folded and Delkof called.
The 9♣3♣7♦ flop saw Delkof play in flow. Smirnov continued for 3,700 and Delkof called.
The 4♠ turn saw a repeat of the action, this time Smirnov sized up to 5,200.
The 8♦ river checked to a showdown. Delkof tabled Q♦Q♦, prompting Smirnov to surrender the pot with some frustration as he mucked his JxJx holding.
