At 1 p.m. local time, the chase for the coveted gold bracelet available during the 2024 World Series of Poker recommences on July 4 at the Horseshoe and Paris Casino Las Vegas. Out of a field of 187 entries, only five players from as many countries remain in contention in Event #79: $50,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha.

The biggest slice of the $8,929,250 prize pool is still up for grabs and the five finalists have locked up a cash prize of $503,085 already, whereas the winner will receive the massive top prize of $2,100,325.

Among them are four bracelet winners who hope to increase their tally and Hong Kong's Danny Tang leads the way after a surge late in the previous night . He returns with a stack of 20,725,000 and is well ahead of Ronald Keijzer (13,275,000) and Daniel Perkusic (12,150,000), the other two bigger stacks still in contention.

Furthermore, Jim Collopy (5,100,000) and Santhosh Suvarna (4,850,000) are also still in the mix and separated by only one big blind at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Suvarna will be adding his fourth High Roller cash during the 2024 WSOP and has the chance to win his second gold bracelet of the year and third overall. The businessman triumphed against poker's elite in Event #55: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold'em for a huge score of $5,415,152 earlier in the series.

Chipleader Tang has locked horns with Suvarna several times in the Triton Super High Roller Events and amassed $26.9 million in live poker scores already. Five years ago, the Hong Kong-based poker pro won his first gold bracelet in Event #90: $50,000 Final Fifty and has the chance to double his tally in an event with the same price tag.

Collopy has earned the most merits at the WSOP among the final five as he has three WSOP titles on his resume, while PLO specialist Keijzer has one bracelet as well from back in 2018. The only contender yet to taste victory at the WSOP is third-placed Perkusic, who could become the first German to win a gold bracelet during the 2024 WSOP.

The action recommences at 1 p.m. local time inside the Horseshoe Event Center with 20:35 minutes left in level 26 at blinds of 150,000/300,000 with a big blind ante of 300,000. Stay tuned right here on PokerNews to find out who will claim the gold bracelet and seven-figure cash prizes.
