Weisman Gets There to Double Off Arieh

Nível 7

Pot-Limit Omaha

Dylan Weisman limped in from the button and Josh Arieh checked his option.

The flop came 8310 and Arieh led out for 8,000. Weisman then moved all in for 45,500.

Arieh tanked for a minute before he called and Weisman showed QJ64 for straight and flush draws. Arieh had a pair of kings but instantly tossed his cards into the muck once the 9 fell on the turn to give Weisman his flush.

The inconsequential river was the 8 and Weisman doubled up.

"Guys, he's very good at PLO so don't try this at home. It works for him because he's very good, but if you limp with this you'll get crushed," tablemate Nacho Barbero said after the hand.

Deeb Has a Higher Straight

Nível 7

Pot-Limit Omaha

Naoya Kihara raised to 8,000 first-to-act and was called by Shaun Deeb from directly behind.

Both players checked on the K810 flop and then Kihara bet 13,000 on the 9 turn. Deeb called.

It was checked down on the A river and Kihara turned over 7654 for a ten-high straight. It was no good, however, as Deeb tabled AJ72 for a jack-high straight and collected the pot.

Roman Yitzhaki: 5x5x3x / AxAx4x9x
Dan Cates: XxXx / 5xQx6x8x / Xx

Dan Cates bet fourth street against Roman Yitzhaki when the latter paired his ace and Yitzhaki called. Cates bet again fifth street for Yitzhaki to raise and Cates called. On sixth street, Cates check-called and they checked seventh. Yitzhaki showed a nine-five and that was good enough to win the pot.

Pot-Limit Omaha

The rotation switched to PLO and Cates was in the big blind. Marco Johnson raised to 8,000 from under the gun and Cates tossed in his last 8,500 for Johnson to call.

Dan Cates: K954 All in
Marco Johnson: AA93

The K104 flop gave Cates two pair, but they were counterfeited with the 10 turn. The 3 river then sent the two-time Poker Players Championship winner to the rail.

Sammartino Distracted

Nível 7

Omaha Hi-Lo

Dario Sammartino was intensely watching the European Championship soccer match between Croatia and his home country of Italy on the big screen, audibly swearing when Italy missed a chance.

"I think when Italians swear, it's the nicest sounding swear," said Chino Rheem.

Meanwhile, Andres Korn opened and Dario Sammartino check-called from the big blind.

Sammartino check-called bets on flop, turn and river of a J62104 board. Korn tabled QJ109 for two pair, with Sammartino taking the low portion of the pot with J75x4

Hui Bets Out Guagenti

Nível 7

Razz

Phil Hui: XxXx/4x5x6xAx
Nick Guagenti: XxXx/7x3x7xKx - folded on sixth street

Phil Hui completed, Nick Guagenti raised, and Hui called.

Guagenti bet on fourth street and Hui called. Hui then led out on fifth and Guagenti called.

Hui bet again on sixth, sending Guagenti into the tank. "Can I bet on the river before he calls?" Hui joked with the dealer. Guagenti eventually folded and Hui flashed a 3x as he took the pot.

Matthew Ashton has yet to take his seat at this table today, so his stack continues to be blinded down.

Benny Glaser raised on the button and was called by Seth Gottlieb in the small blind and Joao Vieira in the big blind.

Action checked to Glaser on the 226 flop and he continued for a bet. Gottlieb folded but Vieira came along.

Both players checked on the 6 turn and then Vieira took the initiative with a bet on the 2 river.

Glaser went deep into the tank, but eventually decided to lay his hand down and Vieira dragged the pot.

Wasserson Cannot Beat "Nothing"

Nível 7

Omaha Hi-Lo

Eric Wasserson raised and Talal Shakerchi three-bet the button for Wasserson to call. On the Q108 flop, Wasserson check-called and did so again on the 2 turn. The 10 river paired the board and both players opted to check.

"I have nothing," Shakerchi declared and revealed his AK73 for ace-king high and the missed nut low draw.

Wasserson stared at his cards for several seconds and shook his head, then sent them into the muck.

Yockey Chops With Wilkinson

Nível 7

Omaha Hi-Lo

Bryce Yockey raised from under the gun and was called by both blinds, Michael Noori and Alexander Wilkinson. On the K64 flop, Wilkinson check-raised and Yockey called while Noori got out of the way.

They checked the 10 turn and Wilkinson's bet on the 7 river was called. Wilkinson showed A664 for a set of sixes and Yockey took the low with A863.
