John Zable limped in from the button, James Obst limped behind from the small blind, Phillip Hui raised to 20,000 from the big blind, Zable called and Obst folded.

The flop came 10♦8♣7♣ and the rest of the chips quickly got in the middle with Hui starting the hand with around 150,000 and Zable covering him.

Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.

The first guest of the Life Outside Poker podcast was soap opera star Farah Galfond, while subsequent guests have included Tony G, Princess Love, On Tilt Nick and Raminder Singh.

The Life Outside Poker podcast is being filmed regularly at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP), kicking off with an interview with poker coach Faraz Jaka.

With two players seeing a board of J♠9♠9♦5♠ and 58,000 in the middle, Joshua Thibodaux checked from the small blind and Michael Duek bet 30,000 from the big blind. Thibodaux made the call.

On the 8♥ river Thibodaux checked and Duek fired a pot-sized bet of 118,000. Thibodaux contemplated his options for about 90 seconds before opting to call.

"You're good" Duek told his opponent. Thibodaux tabled A♠6♠2♠8♣ for an ace-high flush to take down a sizable pot.
