Siegel's Ace Puts a Small Dent in Hamed's Stack

Jordan Siegel and Jacob Hamed exchanged raises before the first draw until Siegel was all in for around 12,000.

Both players drew one on each draw and Siegel showed 7-6-4-2. Hamed was drawing to an eight but ended up pairing his last card.

"I got him," Siegel said as he turned over an ace to win the pot and double up.

"It would've been better if you looked at an ace first," a tablemate said.

Chung Can't Complete His Wheel as Sako Takes Three-Way Pot

Christopher Chung was all in before the first draw as Tana Karnchanakphan and Yuki Sako had him at risk.

Chung took three, while Sako and Karnchanakphan took two. Both players checked and Chung and Sako drew one, while Karnchanakphan took two.

Sako then bet and Karnchanakphan called. Sako stood pat, Chung drew two, and Karnchanakphan drew one.

Sako bet and Karnchanakphan called. Sako showed 8-6-5-4-2 and Karnchanakphan mucked 8-7-6-5-3.

"I'm 50-50 for a wheel," Chung said as he showed 7-3-2-4, but he ended up pairing his four and last year's runner-up was sent to the rail.

Hamed Fires All Three Streets to Climb Near the Chip Lead

Three-handed on the first hand, Jacob Hamed bet from the button and only a player in the hijack called.

The hijack drew two and Hamed one. Hamed then bet and his opponent called.

Hamed stood pat on the last draw, while his opponent took two. Hamed bet again and his opponent folded this time.

Filippi Leaves Chan With Crumbs

Terrence Chan bet from the big blind on the second draw and Amnon Filippi raised in the cutoff. Chan called and both players stood pat.

Filippi then bet and Chan called for most of his stack. Filippi turned over 8-5-4-3-2 and Chan mucked, leaving him on an extreme short stack.

Chan Pays Off Morris On Third Draw

Terrence Chan was in the big blind when Arthur Morris bet from under the gun and he made the call. Chan drew two and Morris drew one and bet, which Chan called. Chan then drew two again and Morris drew one then bet again, and Chan made the call. Chan and Morris both drew one for the third draw, and again Morris bet and Chan called. Morris tabled 7-6-5-4-2 and Chan mucked his hand.

It should be noted the title of this post was workshopped by the players of the table.

The big blind took one, while Baker and the cutoff drew two. The big blind led out with a bet, Baker raised, the cutoff folded, and the big blind called.

Baker patted the second draw and his remaining opponent drew one and checked. Baker then bet and his opponent quickly folded.

Kessler Catches Perfect For a Bustout

A player on the button bet the first draw and Allen Kessler called in the big blind.

Kessler drew two and the button one. The button then moved all in and Kessler called, drawing two while the button stood pat.

The all-in player showed an 8-7 as Kessler revealed 6-3-2. He first turned over an eight, followed by a seven as he made a better 8-7 to win the pot. Kessler could only shrug his shoulders as the all-in player was sent to the rail.
