Arieh with Air?

Nível 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Josh Arieh
Josh Arieh

Josh Arieh had checked on a flop reading Q37 and Tzvi Heber placed a bet of 10,000. Arieh responded with a raise to 24,000.

There was a bit of confusion when Heber put in 34,000 in response. It soon became apparent he was attempting to raise, because he had put in more than half for what a raise was needed, he was obligated to made it 38,000.

Arieh waved off the confusion and said, "That's fine." and pushed his hand into the muck.

Brink Nearly Triples Up

Nível 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With the players now officially in the money, a player under the gun raised all in for 25,000. Fredrick Brink followed up in early position three-betting all in for 54,000. It folded around to the button where a player who had both all in stacks covered, decided to make the call.

Under the gun: AJ All in
Fredrick Brink: KQ All in
Button: K10

The under the gun player was ahead, but the K37 flop now put Brink on top. The 9 on the turn made things interesting as the player on the button could now hit a 10 or a club for the double elimination. However, the river 4 bricked out, and Brink was able to scoop the pot worth 149,000.

Alt Up to Eighteen Bounties

Nível 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Mier Chipping Up

Nível 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Robby Mier from middle position called a 30,000 re-raise from the button preflop.

The flop came Q57 and both Mier and the button check.

The turn brought the K and Mier checked again. The button raised to 17,000 and Mier called.

The river paired the board as the K was peeled and both players checked again. Mier showed 9x9x for two pair and the button mucked their hand. Mier sat with a comfortable 275,000 chips after collecting the pot.

Shak Puts Opponent to the Test

Nível 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Action folded around to the player in the small blind who limped, and Dan Shak checked in the big blind.

The two went to a flop of KK3, where the small blind bet 6,000 and Shak called.

On the 7 turn, the small blind led out for 20,000 and Shak called again.

The river peeled the 9, bringing in the backdoor flush draw. The small blind checked and Shak moved all in for almost 100,000, putting his opponent to a tough decision.

The small blind eventually folded and Shak chipped up.

The Bubble has Burst

Nível 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

There was no need for hand-for-hand, as once dealers went to complete the hand they were in, the field was whittled down to 396 and those remaining are in the money.

The room broke out in cheers to the news and play continued.

Fearless on the Bubble

Nível 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Aaron Thivyahathan went all in for just over 100,000 over the early positon open of Cole Griffith.

Griffith released his hand and Thivyahathan flashed 1010 to the table and let them know it was an easy shove, despite being so close to the bubble bursting.

Just one hand later:

Griffith opened to 12,000 and faced an all in from Dan Shak on his direct left. It folded back to Griffith and made the call.

Dan Shak: AQ All in
Cole Griffith: Q9

The board rolled out ace high and Shak found the double with no sweat. Griffith then made mention he couldn't best Shak and Shak confirmed he'd doubled through Griffith three times.
