The board came out with 10A429 and Russell survived with his two pair. Russell was very relieved as he had been clawing his way back after his pocket aces were beat by a flush in an earlier all-in clash.

Brumpacheco Calls for His Tournament Life

Nível 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

On a heads-up completed board of 832105, Joseph Brumpacheco checked to Michael Miller, who then moved all in.

This bet covered Brumpacheco, who went deep into the tank to decide the fate of his tournament life.

After close to a minute, Brumpacheco made the call, putting himself at risk, but heard those sweet sweet words from Miller..."You got it," as he tabled AJ for just ace-high. Brumpacheco then proudly flipped over 85 for two-pair to take down the pot for the double.

Anthony Marquez
Anthony Marquez

Benjamin Harris moved all in preflop and was called by Anthony Marquez to put him at risk.

Benjamin Harris: A4All in
Anthony Marquez: 99

Harris loved the flop at first when 44 appeared, but his heart dropped when the 9 was right behind them to give Marquez a full house.

Only a four could save Harris from elimination, but the runout of Q6 did not do it and he was sent to the rail.

Vertes Eliminates Two Opponents and Takes Over the Chip Lead

Nível 20 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Jeffrey Vertes has been on an incredible roll, crushing at his table and already sitting on the big stack before the hand.

Vertes raised from the cutoff to 35,000, and Daniel Malka in the small blind three-bet to 105,000. Vertes quickly raised, putting Malka all-in for about 370,000 total. Malka thought for a long time and looked very uncomfortable with his decision, but ultimately decided to put in a call.

Daniel Malka: K10All in
Jeffrey Vertes: QQ

The flop 62Q gave Vertes top set and all but sealed Malka’s fate. The turn 6 had Malka drawing dead, and the inconsequential river was the A.

Just a couple of hands later, action folded to Vertes in the small blind. Rene Lazaro was sitting in the big blind with just over 200,000 in chips. Vertes moved all-in. After inquiring about the payout jump and learning he made the jump to 83rd place, Lazaro called.

Rene Lazaro: KQAll in
Jeffrey Vertes: A10

The flop kept Vertes ahead, it was 4JA. The turn K gave Lazaro some additional outs, but the Q ended his run, with Vertes’s straight beating his two pair.
