After joining the field on the last break, Daniel Negreanu has chipped up quickly.
The most recent addition to his stack came in a blind on blind situation, where Negreanu bet the turn and river on a J♥3♥4♦2♣Q♣ board and was called down.
Negreanu showed A♥J♠5♥2♦ for a wheel, scooping the pot and climbing above the 70,000 mark.
Patrick Stacey opened under the gun and got called by James Chen, Frank Kassela, and Matt Glantz.
Kassela bet out from the small blind on the 7♥J♣10♣ flop and only Chen made the call.
The action went bet-call again on the K♦ turn.
When Kassela fired the 7♣ river, Chen took a lot longer to make his decision than on previous streets. But, he eventually settled on a fold and forfeited the pot to Kassela.
Earlier this month, thanks to an unfavorable city vote, Doug Polk was unsuccessful in his bid to open a massive poker room in a town near Dallas. But his team of investors, including poker vloggers Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen, are back and ready to take over what will soon become the largest card room in Texas.
Polk, who is playing in the Hustler Casino Live Million Dollar Game this week, announced during Wednesday's HCL stream that his team has purchased Rounders Card Club in San Antonio. The group already owns The Lodge Card Club in Round Rock, a suburb of Austin, and that room is currently the biggest in the Lone Star State with over 70 poker tables.
On a flop of Q♠6♥10♣, Jared Bleznick had bet and been called by Ryutaro Suzuki in the big blind.
Bleznick continued with a bet on the 4♦ turn which Suzuki called once again.
Suzuki check-called a bet from Bleznick again on the 4♣ river. Bleznick flipped over 4♠K♣3♦4♥ for trip fours which was good enough to pull in another pot just before the break.
