Andrew Dea moved all in for 1,775,000 from under the gun, Harsheel Kothari reshoved in middle position, and the rest of the table got out of the way.

The two opponents put their arms around each other's shoulders awaiting the 7♠8♣9♦ flop. Dea remained in front but the 7♥ turn opened the possibility of his pair being counterfeit.

The 8♦ river left Dea playing the board and Kothari's ace sent him to the rail to a round of hugs from his now-former tablemates.

"Sorry," Kothari said to him.

"No sorry. That's the way it goes," the good-natured Dea replied.

O'Neil Loses One and Then Gets a Knockout

Carlos Henrique Da Silva opened to 400,000 from early position, and Jack O'Neill defended his big blind. O'Neill check-called for 475,000 on the Q♥J♣9♠ flop before folding to a bet of 800,000 on the 4♠ turn.

The following hand, James Jeffrey opened to 400,000 from the cutoff. O'Neill got into the mix once more and three-bet to 850,000 from the small blind. Jeffrey jammed for around 1,900,000, and O'Neill called.

The J♥4♠3♠ flop was safe for Jeffrey but the A♠ turn left him drawing to two outs to survive. The 10♥ provided no saving grace and he bowed out in 60th place.

Torres Runs Into Queens

Sergio Torres raised to 425,000 from early position as action folded to Jose Aguilera in the small blind who three-bet to 1,500,000. Torres then pushed his entire stack forward and Aguilera called.

Torres found out he was crushed by Aguilera's queens and needed a miracle, but none arrived on the 5♥10♦7♣10♣7♦ board. The stacks were counted down and Torres had 8,200,000 remaining. Aguilera had him covered by about 400,000 and a teary-eyed Torres went off to commiserate with his supporters on the rail.

Hulme Rivers Straight Flush; Dunst Eliminated

Andrew Hulme opened to 325,000 from under the gun and Ryan Tosoc put in a three-bet to 800,000 next to act. Tony Dunst called for his last 525,000 and it folded back to Hulme who made the call.

The flop came Q♦10♦6♠ and Hulme check-called a bet of 600,000 from Tosoc. On the A♠ turn both players checked their options to the J♦ river.

Hulme took a few seconds before sliding out a bet of 1,825,000 and Tosoc quickly let it go. Dunst tabled K♥Q♠ for a straight but was no good when Hulme rolled over 9♦8♦ for a straight flush to score the pot and send Dunst out in 66th place.

Obregon Spikes the Turn on Auer

The flop came J♦A♦7♠ and Obregon continued for 175,000. Auer then raised to 450,000 and Obregon stuck around and called.

The 7♣ fell on the turn and Auer open-shoved all in for 1,130,000. Obregon snap-called with 8♥7♥ for trip sevens, while Auer had A♠4♦.

The 8♦ river improved Obregon to a full house and sent Auer to the rail.

Queen on the River Dashes Nicholas Rigby's WSOP Main Event Title Dreams

For the second time in three years, Nicholas Rigby was eliminated on Day 6 of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, this time for losing a race on the featured table.

The Pittsburgh area poker player who was one of the more entertaining characters in the field, went out in 131st place ($67,700) in the largest Main Event ever (10,043 entries). He finished 52nd in 2021, and like this year, spent much of his final few sessions seated at the PokerGO live-stream tables.

Daniel Scroggins raised to 350,000 on the button and Anirban Das three-bet to 925,000 in the small blind. What followed was the cold four-bet to 2,250,000 by Liran Betito in the big blind and Scroggins folded.

Das gave it some thirty seconds and called as they headed to a flop of A♣9♥5♦. The check of Das saw Betito continued for 975,000 only for Das to pull off a check-raise to 2,600,000.

Betito folded within a few seconds and before he raked in the pot, Das grabbed his cards and flipped over the 8♦2♣ much to the surprise of everyone at the table.
