Nível 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Alex Keating
Alex Keating

Three ways to the 1044 flop, the action checked to Jack Sinclair on the button and he bet 2,000. Jia Jun called out of the big blind before Alex Keating in the hijack check-raised to 7,000 off a short stack. Sinclair folded whereas Jun raised big to 75,000, which had Keating's stack of around 28,000 easily covered.

The call by Keating followed and the cards were exposed.

Alex Keating: AA
Jia Jun: 43

Neither the 8 turn nor the K river came to the rescue of Keating, who quickly left the tournament area. Farhad Jamasi was also no longer found on the same table either.

Julian Aguirre: 87

The board ran out A8 and the straight held up for Aguirre against Jorstad's set of sixes.

Foxen Busts One, Van der Spuy Also Gone

Nível 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen raised to 2,000 from early position and Ronald Spooner called from the next seat over. Big blind Jordan Grant also came along and the flop of 7Q10 was dealt.

All players checked before Foxen was the one to put in a bet of 4,000 after another check from Grant. Spooner called and Grant folded, leaving a few big blinds behind.

The 6 river then fell and Foxen shoved all in, covering Spooner's 14,500 remaining chips. Spooner mulled it over before eventually putting in the call.

Foxen showed AA for the overpair and they beat the K10 of Spooner by a wide margin. Spooner left the tournament area while Foxen raked in a nice pot to chip up.

Meanwhile, Day 1b chip leader Jean-Pierre van der Spuy has also exited Day 2abc, after a disappointing day.

Sebesfi Gets To Showdown in Big Pot

Nível 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
David Sebesfi
David Sebesfi

In a heads-up pot with 26,000 in the middle on a flop showing AK5, David Sebesfi fired out 5,000 after his opponent checked to him from the big blind, and after some thought, the big blind called.

On the 7 turn the big blind checked again and Sebesfi bet 8,500, which his opponent called. The A completed the board and both players took some time before tapping the table to a showdown.

The big blind rolled over AQ for trip aces and Sebesfi smiled before tabling AQ for the same hand.

"You should bet the river," joked the big blind as the dealer split up the pot.

"Don't want to get raised there," answered Sebesfi as he collected half the chips.

Bogdanov Gets There and Doubles

Nível 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Yulian Bogdanov
Yulian Bogdanov

A sizable 19,500 had already been accumulated preflop by Yulain Bogdanov and Edouard Mignot. Bogdanov checked and Mignot bet 6,200 on the J104 flop. Bogdanov then shoved all in for 39,600 and Mignot called after taking a few minutes to think it over, putting his opponent at risk.

Yulian Bogdanov: A2
Edouard Mignot: 109

Bogdanov had one overcard and the nut flush draw, while Mignot was holding on to his flopped pair of tens. The turn of J remained clean for the Frenchman, but the Q river saw Bogdanov's flush come in, doubling him up while denting Mignot's stack.

Reixach Ramps Up Aggression Against Buonocore

Nível 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Following an under the gun raise by Andrea Buonocore and a call by Patrick Loughman from two seats over, Sergi Reixach stuck around from the big blind. On the 875 flop, Reixach checked and subsequently check-raised from 5,000 to 22,500 when Buonocore continued and Loughman called.

The check-raise was only called by Buonocore, who then also called Reixach's bet of 14,000 on the A turn. The 4 river saw Reixach bet 60,000 and that sent his opponent into the tank.

"It is either a bad river for me or for you," Buonocore said and tank-folded. Reixach checked both of his cards and flashed the 6 for a straight before collecting the pot.
