The flop peeled out K♦2♥4♥ and Loeser check-called a bet of 3,500 from his opponent.

On the 8♠ turn, action checked through to the 5♠ river where Loeser bet 6,500 and his opponent called.

Loeser showed K♠6♦ for a pair of kings with a six kicker, which was good against his opponent's Q♣Q♥ for a pair of queens.

At the same table, Alexandre Reard was eliminated.

Bruns Sends Bronshtein to the Rail

The cutoff opened to 3,500 and Yuval Bronshtein pushed a stack around 30,000 in front of him on the button, with only one 500-chip behind. Bjorn Bruns decided to shove for a slightly higher stack and it folded back to Bronshtein who put his last chip in the middle:

Torelli Soars With Aces

Alec Torelli raised to 3,500 in the cutoff and in the big blind another player called.

On the A♣6♥4♠ flop, action checked over to Torelli who bet 3,000 and the big blind called.

The turn peeled off the K♦ and the big blind checked over to Torelli who sized. up to 12,000 which saw the big blind raise to the tune of 37,000 and Torelli called.

On the 10♣ river, the big blind checked to Torelli who moved all in for 124,500 and the big blind contemplated his decision for a bit before calling and the cards were put on their backs.

McDermott Gets Caught

Lazar Bartha, James Tilton and Timothy McDermott had gathered 10,000 in the middle when the flop of 6♣2♦Q♦ was dealt. Bartha and Tilton checked from the blinds and McDermott bet 3,500 from middle position.

Only Bartha made the call and the 3♠ turn graced the felt. McDermott now upped the ante to 14,000 after another check from Bartha, who called yet again.

The J♦ river then completed the board and both players now checked. Bartha tabled K♦Q♠ for top pair and McDermott quickly mucked his hand.

Merk Versus Lech

Michael Lech limped from under the gun and in the small blind, Abby Merk raised to 6,000 which only Lech called.

The flop peeled off 6♦4♣3♣ and Merk continued for 5,500 which saw Lech raise to 16,000 and Merk call.

Action checked through on the 3♥ turn to the 8♣ river that saw Merk bet 25,000 and Lech released his hand, ceding the pot to Merk.

Goltz Gets Paid in Full

With some 71,000 in the middle to the J♠J♥3♥10♠3♦ river, the player in the big blind bet 50,000 with as many chips behind. Shem Goltz in the cutoff then pushed all-in and his opponent was seemingly struck. It took some 30 seconds for the big blind to call with A♥J♣ for jacks full of treys but Goltz had that beat with the J♦10♥.

"I was afraid of that ... I almost folded," the defeated opponent said while another player chimed in with "it is a cursed seat", indicating that several players had already been eliminated from there.

They walked through the hand for several minutes and Wesley Fei concluded that a check-call would have been better and it was overplayed.

Hallay Saves for a Rainy Day

Mozdzen Hits Quad Tens versus Aces versus Aces

The under the gun opened to 3,500 and Lester Edoc three-bet to 10,500 in the cutoff. Clayton Mozdzen looked at his cards in the big blind and shoved for 23,500.

After a long thinking, the under the gun raised it to 38,000 and Edoc quickly announced all in with the biggest stack. The under the gun snap-called to create a three-way showdown:

Mozden was in desperate shape for the triple up, but found a miracle board 10♣Q♠7♣10♦Q♣ to give him quads to the surprised shouts of his opponents while Edoc and the under the gun got their aces cracked and split the side pot.

Liu Falls To Wyville

The flop rolled out 9♦8♣4♥ and Liu bet 15,000 which saw Wyville raise to 35,000. Liu moved all in for 76,500 and Wyville called to put her at risk.

The board ran out 5♦A♥ and Liu's queens remained second best as the she exited the tournament while Wyville collected the pot.
