Roger Chavez bet 500 from under the gun and was called by the cutoff. The big blind raised to 2,500 and was re-raised by Chavez to 7,500.

The cutoff folded and the big blind jammed for 14,300 which was snap-called by Chavez.

Chavez had a look of surprise when his opponent turned over pocket fives, but wasn't grumbling when he dragged in the pot after the board of Q9388 gave no help to the big blind who made a speedy exit out of the Paris Ballroom.

Lee Applies Pressure

A player opened to 600 and Jimmy Lee three-bet to 2,000 in the cutoff. After some thinking, his opponent called.

The flop came 1059 and Lee continued for 1,500 after it was checked to hm. His opponent check-raised to 5,000 and Lee called.

On the K turn, the initial player bet 5,000 and Lee replied with a a shove for around 19,000. His opponent went into the tank and eventually folded.

The board A7453 was already completed in a heads-up pot when Phil Laak sent 7,000 in the middle from the small blind. His opponent seated on the button made the call.

Laak tabled A6 for the straight and his opponent sent A7 into the muck.

Negoita Doubles at River

With 7,000 in the middle on the flop of 1083, the small blind bet 2,500 and was called by the hijack. Daniel Negoita on the button raised to 7,400.

The small blind folded after some thinking time, but the hijack decided to move all in for 16,300 and Negoita did not hesitate to call.

The hijack was ahead with the ladies, but Negoita was open-ended. The 4 gave Negoita additional flush outs but made the straight on the river when the dealter tabled J to send the hijack to the exit and Negoita grabs a double-up.
