However, soon after the same table lost Eskenazi and Damjan Radanov in quick succession and the table then broke with 56 players still in contention.

Martin Zamani was facing a bet from Joao Simao on the turn of a board showing 2♣2♠A♣K♥, taking some time before announcing a raise to 180,000.

Simao then took some time of his own before moving all in. Zamani made a quick decision, tossing his cards into the muck while urging Simao to show his hand.

After flipping over the Q♣ and 9♥, Simao slid his remaining two cards forward and told Zamani to pick one. Zamani turned over the A♠ as Simao collected a big boost to his stack.

Yu and Chidwick Chop a Pot

Ben Yu raised to 16,000 and Stephen Chidwick defended the big blind. Both checked the 7♠7♥4♣ flop after a brief staring contest and Chidwick then led the 4♥ turn, earning a reluctant call from Yu.

On the 6♦ river, Chidwick bet another 40,000 and Yu came along. Chidwick announced ace-deuce-six and showed his A♥9♣6♥2♠ for sevens and sixes as well as the nut low. Yu won the high pot with the A♠A♣J♦4♦ for trips fours to chop it up.

Michael Wang, who started the day second in chips, had previously been eliminated from the table while former big stack Allan Le dropped to a shorter stack.

With three players seeing a 9♦8♥5♠ flop, action checked around to the J♣ turn. Taylor Wilson bet 19,000 and was called only by the table chip leader, Anton Smirnov, from one seat over. That led to the K♦ on the river, on which Wilson bet another 65,000.

Smirnov went deep into the tank and reluctantly folded.

Monnette's set of deuces on the flop left Urbanovich drawing thin, but he picked up the nut low and a wheel draw on the turn.

On a flop of A♣Q♣4♥, Ky Nguyen was all-in for a mere 10,000 and looked up by Long Tran. Once the cards were flipped over, Phil Hellmuth bemoaned he had ace-queen-deuce.

Hoenig Catches Prociak Bluffing

Ryan Hoenig raised to 28,000 and was called only by David Prociak as they headed to the K♠10♥5♠ flop. Both players invested another 25,000 to see the Q♥ turn and Hoenig checked. Prociak bet 100,000 for his opponent to check-call and the J♣ river then brought a four card straight on the board.

Hoenig checked to Prociak who bet 140,000 and the former quickly called. The cards of Prociak were never exposed but Hoenig flipped over his A♦Q♣J♦6♥ for Broadway to rake in the pot in the last hand before the dinner break.
