Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Chance Kornuth, who had been nursing a short stack, could be heard rooting for a certain card as he said, "I have 80% of a royal! Let's go 80% of the royal!". He was all in, but not exactly at risk and his opponent, who was slightly annoyed said, "You're already winning..."

The players had clearly gotten the chips in already and the flop read A109.

Chance Kornuth: QJ
Opponent: AK

The 10 wasn't the turn that Kornuth wished for and Kornuth said, "I don't care about you losing the hand, I care about making a royal!" but he was unable to add insult to injury when the 7 completed the board.

Kornuth's flopped flush held, but he was still left with a short stack despite the double. This goes to show, no matter how many titles are won, or how many hands someone plays - everyone loves to sweat a royal flush draw.

Peters Plays Strong from the Big Blind

Nível 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

There was a raise to 900 from the cutoff which was called by the button and David Peters in the big blind. The flop came KQ10 and the cutoff continued with a bet of 1,600 which the button called. Peters check-raised to 5,800 and only the cutoff called.

The turn was the J and Peters led out with a bet of 5,500. His opponent still called and the 2 landed on the river. Peters thought for over a minute before sliding out a bet of 8,500. His opponent also took some time in the tank but finally decided to fold.

Sturm Steered Elsewhere

Nível 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Leon Sturm
Leon Sturm

Leon Sturm, recent high roller bracelet winner, raised before the flop and faced the jam of Ian Hirasa. He didn't wait long before quietly announcing call and turning his hand face up.

Leon Sturm: QQ
Ian Hirasa: KK

The dealer flopped A73 but no player had a diamond so it wasn't a sweat. The 8 and 4 were no help to Sturm and his pair of queens were thwarted by the kings of Hirasa.

Players do have a reentry available to them so only time will tell if Sturm steps back into battle.

Cornell Chips Up with Kings

Nível 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading Q867, the action was heads-up and the big blind led out with a bet of 6,800 into a pot of around 9,000. Tyler Cornell called on the button and the 3 hit the river.

The big blind checked this time and Cornell splashed in a bet of 15,000. His opponent called and Cornell turned over KK for the best hand.
