Benichou Out In Two Hands

Nível 19 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Dustin Benichou was in the cutoff when he opened to 22,000. The button and the small blind folded, but not John Tavss in the big blind, who completed.

On J102, both players checked to the turn 8. Tavss bet 40,000, and Benichou called. The 3 came on the river, and Tavss bet again, to 65,000. Benichou snap-called, showing AA. But Tavss revealed JJ for a set of jacks and took the pot.

Down to 116,000 chips, Benichou shoved on the next hand from the hijack. The cutoff moved all-in too with a slightly bigger stack, and they were the only two players to flip their hands.

Dustin Benichou: K5
Cutoff: KK

"I'm not confident," said the player in the cutoff, even if he was in the lead preflop, and on 7Q8. On the turn, Benichou asked for a five and a diamond, and the 5 came. So there was a bit of suspense on the river. But the 3 didn't help Benichou, who was eliminated.

Lotti Takes Multi-Way Pot Half Asleep

Nível 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The action folded to the button who opened for 26,000 and both the small blind and Romain Lotti in the big blind made the call.

The flop fanned out A107 and all three players checked their options to the 3 turn. The small blind led out for 42,000 and only Lotti came along.

On the 8 river the small blind bet again, this time to 66,000. Lotti went deep in the tank, but after close to a minute, tossed in a chip for the call.

The small blind rolled over 98 for a missed straight draw and a pair of eights, while Lotti tabled Q4 for a queen-high flush.

"Are you okay?" asked the small blind to Lotti who took his time to make the call.

"Yeah it's these 10 a.m. starts, I'm just tired," replied Lotti while collecting his chips.

Quads for the Knockout

Nível 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Action folded to Robert Ashelm in middle position who opened to 22,000. The player next to act in late position went all in for 150,000. Everyone else folded and Ashelm quickly called.

Late Position: 77
Robert Ashelm: QQ

The Q5K flop already had his opponent headed to the rail, then the Q turn gave Ashelm quads and put the last nail in the coffin. Ashelm scooped and added to his already healthy stack.

Meliet Finds A Double Up

Nível 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A player opened in middle position to 20,000. Then, from the button, Holly Meliet moved all in for 138,000. Struggling to make a decision as it was almost all his stack, her opponent finally called.

Holly Meliet: AK
Opponent: AQ

Meliet's opponent was still hoping for a queen after the flop 489. But he showed his disappointment when the K landed on the turn. The river 6 didn't change anything, and Meliet doubled up. Her stack is now over 300,000 chips.

Hebert Picks Off Bluff

Nível 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

In a heads-up pot with roughly 90,000 in the middle on a flop showing KK8, Joseph Hebert checked from the small blind to his opponent in early position who checked as well.

On the J turn Hebert took the lead with a bet of 87,000 and his opponent made the call. The 4 hit the river and Hebert checked to the player in early position who slid out a bet of 100,000. Hebert quickly tossed in a chip for the call and the cards were shown.

The early position player rolled over Q10 for a missed straight draw and queen high, while Hebert tabled 1010 for a pair of tens to take the sizable pot.

"I would've folded if you jammed," said Hebert to his opponent while he collected the pot.

Weldon Wins Early

Nível 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Action folded to a player in the cutoff who opened to 22,000. The button and small blind folded but Anthony Weldon called out of the big blind.

The Q1010 flop hit the felt and Weldon check-called a 28,000 bet from the cutoff. The 7 landed on the turn and action slowed down and checked through. The 3 river landed and Weldon opted to lead for 29,000.

The cutoff only thought for a moment before putting in the call. Weldon rolled over AQ for top pair, top kicker and the cutoff tapped the table and mucked.

Dharmarajan Leaves The Pot To The Big Blind

Nível 18 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Gokul Dharmarajan opened from under the gun position, and Brian Woodbury, in the big blind, called.

On the 539 flop, Dharmarajan bet 30,000, and Woodbury called to see the A on the turn. Both players checked.

The river was another five, the 5. Woodbury checked once again. Dharmarajan also checked, but when Woodbury showed 97 for a pair, Dharmarajan folded his cards.
