Garrison Grabs a Stack

Nível 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Eric Hershler raised to 19,000 in early position and was called by Lloyd Garrison. Their opponent in the small blind moved all in for 90,000 with Hershler mucking his hand. Garrison made the call leaving his opponent at risk.

Small Blind: 55
Lloyd Garrison: AK

Garrison still trailed after the 884 flop, while the J turn brought some counterfeit outs. The J was one of them, as Garrison took the pot away with his ace kicker, sending his opponent to the rail.

Steiger's Rockets Hold to Double Up

Nível 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

There were 105,000 chips in the middle from the pre-flop action and the flop came J85. Michael Steiger moved all in for 115,000 from the hijack and was called by a player in early position.

Michael Steiger: AA
Early Position: QQ

"Dammit!" shouted the early position player when Steiger turned over the pocket aces. The 9 turn gave additional gutshot outs to early position, but the 5 was a brick and Steiger doubled up.

Steiger mentioned to PokerNews that his wife will go crazy seeing his name in the updates. Mrs. Steiger - hopefully you will regain your composure in short order.

Burritt's Roller Coaster Ride

Nível 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Lakshmi Narasimha was heads up with David Burritt after the 1024 flop, checking the action to his left. Burritt slid out a bet of 50,000 which Narasimha called.

Both players checked the 8 turn before Narasimha led out for 55,000 on the J river.

Burritt took some time before making the call, showing QQ for top pair. Narasimha turned over AK for the flush, taking much of Burritt's stack.

Burritt's fortunes changed on the very next hand, as his K10 spiked a pair on the flop against 1010 to double back up.
