Ribouchon Finds a Double Up on Kniep

Florian Ribouchon raised to 2,500,000 in the cutoff and Andreas Kniep jammed from the button with the biggest stack. It folded back to Ribouchon who snap called for his remaining 13,000,000.

Ribouchon had the best starting hand, and instantly improved it to a set of jacks on the flop J♣8♦3♦. The rest of the board didn't change anything with the 6♦ and the 4♥ and Ribouchon took down the double-up while the French rail exulted.

Plesuv Finds the Aces

Myles Mullaly raised to 2,000,000 in late position and Pavel Plesuv three-bet from the button to 5,500,000. Mullaly went into the think tank and called.

The flop was A♥4♣9♥. Mullaly checked and Plesuv bet 2,600,000. Mullaly called quickly.

Both players checked the turn when the Q♥ arrived.

The river 3♠ had Mullaly taking the lead and betting out 11,000,000 and Plesuv immediately called.

Mullaly tabled A♣Q♠ and Plesuv threw over A♠A♣ for his set of aces.

The oversized crowd went wild with excitement.

Global Poker Summer Series IV Will Feature Four Main Events

Following a successful Grand Prix Turbo Series Montreal earlier this month, Global Poker announced that it will run the Summer Series IV right in time for all of the summer's poker action.

The Summer Series IV will take place June 26-July 9 and will feature several Gold and Sweeps Coins events. The series will have GC 630,000,000 in total prizes guaranteed and 28 Gold Coin trophies and SC 1,260,000 in total prizes guaranteed and 28 Sweeps Coin trophies.

The biggest draw of the series will be the GC and SC Main Events on July 9, which will feature respective guarantees of GC 630,000,000 and SC 1,260,000 across four events. The Prog Bounty, Super Deep Main Events will kicks things off before the regular Super Deep Main Events later in the evening.
