While Jamie Gold showed aces on the table behind him, François Pirault opened to 300 from the button and was raised by the small blind to 800. The player in the big blind called, and Pirault did too.

On the flop 5A6, the small blind checked, allowing the big blind to bet a massive 3,200. Pirault was the only one to call.

The 4 landed on the turn. The big blind bet another 7,200 on this card and Pirault made the call once again.

The river card was the 2. The player in the big blind moved all in for his remaining 14,000 chips. Pirault took some time and called with A6 for two pair, the winning hand, as his opponent showed AxJx.
