Assorted Counts In The Field

Nível 2

Deeb Cannot Beat a Ten

Nível 2

Badugi

A player limped from the cutoff before Shaun Deeb raised on the button. The blinds got out of the way to send the action back to the cutoff who called.

Both players took two cards on the first draw after which the cutoff check-called a bet from Deeb.

On the second draw the cutoff again drew two cards while Deeb chose to stand pat. As before, the cutoff checked and then called after Deeb bet.

The final draw saw the cutoff take one more card and Deeb decline to draw. The cutoff then checked for a third time and called when Deeb bet. "Ten" announced the cutoff, turning over 1042A as Deeb mucked.

Thompson's Seven Is Good

Nível 2

A-5

Mike Thompson raised in the hijack which saw Ken "Teach" Aldridge call in the cutoff, the button and the big blind call.

Thompson bet when checked to and all of his opponents called.

Thompson stood pat on the second draw and the button drew one while the others drew two.

Action checked around to Thompson who bet and everyone called once more, with all players drawing one besides Thompson who stood pat.

Action checked around to Thompson who bet and only the button called. Thompson turned over 7x6x5x4x3x for a rough seven and it was good for the pot.

King Good For Zhu

Nível 2

A-5 Triple Draw

Yueqi Zhu opened from under the gun and was called by a player on the button as well as both blinds.

The small blind, Zhu and button all took two cards while the big blind drew three on the first draw. Action then checked to the button who bet, receiving calls from all three of his opponents.

The second draw saw the blinds and Zhu take two cards and the button one. Action then checked through.

On the final draw everyone except the big blind took one more card with the big blind opting for two. All four players checked before Zhu turned over K653A which was good enough to take down the pot.

"Better Than King, Better Than Queen"

Nível 2

Badugi

A pot was brewing between Mihails Morozovs in the small blind and another player in the big blind.

The final draw saw Morozovs stay pat while his opponent drew one. Morozovs immediately bet and his opponent began talking.

"You're still betting?"

"I have stronger than king, stronger than queen," Morozovs responded "Other than that I cannot say."

His opponent peeled an 8 to go with his A24 and he said "give him the pot," as he tossed the hand away.

Katz Takes a Hit

Nível 1

Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Cary Katz opened from under the gun before a player on the button three-bet. Katz made the call.

The first draw saw Katz take two while the button player opted for one. Katz then check-called a bet.

The same drawing and betting pattern was repeated on the second draw, with Katz accidentally exposing the 8 as he discarded. "Well now you know I've got an eight," Katz joked as the players headed to the final draw.

On the final draw both Katz and the button player stood pat. Katz then checked before folding to a bet from his opponent.

Vonk Loses Some More

Nível 1

Badugi

Shortly after losing an A-5 pot to John Ma, Marcel Vonk clashed with Ma again in badugi.

Ma opened on the button with Vonk calling in the big blind.

Vonk took two on the first draw to Ma's one before check-raising a bet from his opponent. Ma responded with a reraise and Vonk called.

Both players took one on the second draw. Vonk then check-called a bet from Ma.

The final draw saw the same drawing pattern repeated with action going check-check. Ma turned over 1032A (three-card perfect Badugi) for a winner to take some more of Vonk's stack.
