Julien Loire Eliminated in 8th Place ($144,928)

Nível 39 : Blinds 1,000,000/1,500,000, 1,500,000 ante
Julien Loire
Julien Loire

On a heads-up flop of 839, Julien Loire led out for 4,000,000 and then Jesse Rockowitz raised him to 12,000,000.

Loire went into the tank but eventually made the call to see the Q land on the turn. Loire quickly checked over to Rockowitz, who paused for a bit before he announced all-in, covering Loire.

Loire went deep into the tank, counting and recounting his chips before eventually setting out a stack, putting his tournament life at risk.

Julien Loire: QQ
Jesse Rockowitz: KJ

Loire had turned a set of queens but was still behind Rockowitz's made flush, and the 4 on the river failed to pair the board and Loire was eliminated in 8th place.

Dunaway Catches Cada Bluffing with Sick Call

Nível 39 : Blinds 1,000,000/1,500,000, 1,500,000 ante
Braxton Dunaway
Braxton Dunaway

Braxton Dunaway limped in the small blind on the last hand of Day 4, only to face a 3,000,000 raise from Joe Cada in the big blind. Dunaway called to bring the flop.

The dealer fanned 792, and Dunaway checked. Cada bet, which brought a call from Dunaway.

The turn saw 6, which Dunaway checked. Cada brought some heat with a 6,800,000 bet. Dunaway thought about it, then eventually called.

The river brought 10 and drama. Dunaway checked a third time, and Cada went all in, which covered Dunaway.

Dunaway appeared perplexed at Cada’s bet, even shifting in his seat a few times for more than a minute. He had 12,000,000 effective in front of him, but Cada put him in for his tournament life. Dunaway sat back in his chair one last time, and then leaned forward to place both hands on his stack.

“Let’s do this,” Dunaway said as he pushed his chips forward to call.

Cada tabled AJ, prompting Dunaway to show K9 and the winning hand.

“Nice call,” Cada said as he tapped the table.

Nicholas Gerrity Leads the Pack on Day 4 of Event #39: $1,500 Monster Stack

Nível 39 : Blinds 1,000,000/1,500,000, 1,500,000 ante
Nicholas Gerrity

Nicholas Gerrity seized Day 4 of Event #39: $1,500 Monster Stack and has the chip lead after bagging 112,300,000 chips. Gerrity leads the final seven remaining players who will return for an unscheduled added day on Wednesday at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.

Gerrity began building his stack when the players reached the final two tables, scoring knockouts of Marcos Exterkotter, who finished in 18th place, Steven Snyder, who finished in 17th place, and Xuming Qi, who began the day as the chip leader before finishing in 11th place.

While Gerrity has the current chip lead, danger lurks around the corner.

He must contend with WSOP bracelet winner Jesse Rockowitz, who is surging and bagged the second-most chips with 94,500,000. Joe Cada, the 2009 Main Event champion, is also still alive despite absorbing a blow to his chip stack on the last hand of the night.
