On a three-way turn, the board read K♠A♠9♦2♥ when Joe Messineo in early position bet 7,500 after a check from the big blind. The middle position player to his left made the call while the big blind folded and the two went heads-up to a river 5♦.
Messineo looked visibly confused, visibly shaking his head as he checked it over his opponent, who seemed like he couldn't tell if Messineo was pulling a Hollywood or not, so he just checked back.
Messineo then flipped over A♣Q♣ for top pair and his opponent quickly mucked to award him the pot.
"What, you didn't like that river?" another player at the table joked.
"I mean yeah I'm glad spades missed I just wasn't happy about him calling the 7,500," Messineo replied as he stacked his new chips.
