Eddie Zakaria Eliminated in 27th Place ($11,983)

Nível 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Just moments after the previous bust out, before players had the opportunity to redraw to the final three tables, Eddie Zakaria had raised in middle position and was called by Dean Hutchison, in the big blind.

The flop came down 882 and the big blind checked to the preflop aggressor. Zakaria then placed a bet, was promptly raised and both players got it in.

Eddie Zakaria: AA
Dean Hutchison: 82

The turn and river were bricks and Hutchinson cracked the aces of Zakaria, sending him out of the tournament area.

Kevin Iacofano Bubbles Final 3 Tables

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Kevin Iacofano went all in from middle positon off a short stack and was isolated by Dietrich Fast with the covering stack.

Kevin Iacofano: K3
Dietrich Fast: AK

Iacofano got his hopes up as the flop game 3x2x8x, but when the Ax fell on the turn, a sigh of exasperation escaped him. The 7x on the turn left him with no chip and on the way to payouts.

Iacofano was eliminated in 28th place for $11,983.

Sweat on the Shove

Nível 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The player under the gun, Rocco Lati raised to 80,000 preflop, a middle position player called and the small blind Jorge Ufano reraised to 350,000. Lati put all his chips in for 1,325,000 and Ufano went into the think tank for awhile.

Lati stated emphatically, "No snap is good f****** news".

Ufano folded and Lati raked in the pot.

Battle of the Broadways

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

A shortstacked Marcos Exterkotter went all in for 310,000 from early position and was called by Vincas Tamasauskas who just barely covered.

Marcos Exterkotter: AJ
Vincas Tamasauskas: KQ

Neither player was blocking the other so it was a fairly close flip, but when the board came 35623, ace high remained the best hand and Tamasauskas was left with less than a big blind.

About one orbit later, Tamasauskas was eliminated.

Palma's Speech Play Gets a Fold and a Warning

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

As action folded around to Vincas Tamasauskas in the small blind, big blind Nick Palma said, "Be careful, I get my best hands in the big blind. I'll send you to the sixth floor."

The dealer admonished that he was not allowed to induce action. "How can I be inducing action? I don't even know what 'I'll send you to the sixth floor' means!"

The floor manager clarified that disclosing your hand or your opponent's hand is against the rules, but what Palma said technically wasn't. "You can't say, 'I have a big hand.' but you can say for example, 'I'll send you to the moon.'"

"Bang zoom!" replied Palma and play continued as Tamasauskas folded.

The Rich Get Richer

Nível 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Everett Carlton
Everett Carlton

Everett Carlton went all in for his remaining 260,000 chips and was called by Santiago Plante, who has been one of the chip leaders most of the day.

Everett Carlton: A10
Santiago Plante: AQ

Carlton was drawing thin, but it went as far as becoming a long shot when the flop fanned out the AQ8, as running cards to make a straight or boat were Carlton's only chance. The turn shut the door on those outs as the 4 peeled. Carlton was already collecting his belongings when the 4 fell on the river.

Carlton recently came off a 6th place in the $1,500 Razz last week so it'd be no surprise to see him in more events moving forward.
