Kianoosh Mohajeri opened under the gun to 1,600 and was called by the player to his left, as well as Jake Daniels who was in the cut-off, and the big blind called to close the action. The flop spread, J♥5♣3♣ and Mohajeri bet 6,000, the player to his folded, Daniels called, the big blind folded and they went heads up to the turn.
The turn was the Q♦ and Mohajeri sized up to an all in bet of about 46,000. He was beat into the pot by Daniels, as he made the call, and cards were quickly on their backs.
Jake Daniels: Q♣J♦
Kianoosh Mohajeri: A♣10♣
Daniels got it in good with top two pair and was up against the flush draw and gut-shot of Mohajeri. The river then came the 8♣ and the pot was pushed to the latter.
This hand history was relayed to PokerNews by an exasperated, albeit upbeat Daniels and upon finishing, he told his opponent, "I'm going to make you famous, buddy!".
In response, Mohajeri let Daniels know he had over $1,000,000 in winnings and pulled out a WSOP Circuit ring that he was wearing around his neck. Upon further investigation, it appears he won that ring in 2005 in a $2,000 No-Limit Hold'em event for over $100,000.
