Three ways to the 7♥7♦7♠8♠ turn, Johannes Becker checked out of the small blind and James Chen bet from the big blind. Jason Daly raised on the button and Becker folded while Chen stuck around.
The J♣ river was checked by Chen, who then got out of the way when Daly bet.
Jason Daly had raised from under the gun and was three-bet by James Obst on the button, which he called. Daly called a bet by Obst on the K♥Q♥5♦ flop before he check-raised the 7♣ turn and earned a call from Obst. Daly then bet the J♠ river and Obst went into a short tank.
The Aussie eventually called but mucked when he was shown the A♥10♥4♣2♣ for broadway by Daly.
Robert Yass called from the small blind and David Williams decided to shoot it up on the short stack from the big blind. Yass called and the dealer put out a flop of 9♦K♣4♣ which checked through.
The fireworks started on the J♠ turn when Yass check-raised a bet from Williams and Williams decided to put in the remainder of his chips.
David Williams: A♥Q♣10♠3♦
Robert Yass: K♦Q♦J♣10♥
The river came the 4♠ giving both players a king-high straight
Brad Ruben raised from early position and was three-bet by Aaron Kupin from the button. Williams called from the small blind and Ruben also called.
Williams lead out on the 7♣9♥2♠ flop and Ruben and Kupin both called. Williams committed his last remaining 5,000 chip on the J♣ turn and was called by Kupin. Ruben folded.
David Williams: 6♣5♣4♣3♥
Aaron Kupin: A♦J♦8♣2♣
The 8♠ river hit Williams, completing his straight and initiating a frustrated response from Kupin.
Within two hands, the short stack of Kyle Cartwright was reduced to one third of a big bet before he was then forced all-in out of the big blind.
Cartwright had limped the first hand and the same applied for Jason Daly in the cutoff and James Obst then checked in the big blind. On a Q♠J♦4♦ flop, Obst checked and Cartwright bet for Daly to raise. Obst folded and Cartwright made it three bets to earn a call from Daly.
Cartwright bet the 2♠ turn to earn a call and checked the J♣ on the river, prompting a bet by Daly. Cartwright was visibly pained and sigh-called after two minutes in the tank. Daly tabled his Q♣J♥3♥2♦ for jacks full of queens and left Cartwright with 20,000 and the big blind next.
Johannes Becker then raised and James Chen three-bet on the button, earning a call from Becker. Becker check-raised the K♠8♦5♣ flop for Chen to stick around before they headed to the A♣ turn. Becker now bet and Chen raised, as Becker tossed in calling chips.
The two active players checked the 2♥ on the river and Becker showed his A♥A♦2♣2♦ for a set of aces. Chen had the A♠10♥3♠2♠ for a qualifying low as Cartwright showed his cards one after the other. The Q♣9♥8♠4♣ inferior eight-five low was no good and he was eliminated in 12th place.
Players are on a scheduled 10-minute break and will return to Level 21 with 20,000/40,000 blinds and 40,000/80,000 limits. This will be the last level before dinner break.
On a board of J♣6♠5♣8♣9♦, James Obst earned three quarters with the A♥5♦5♥2♠ as Luis Velador only had the A♦5♠4♦2♣ for one pair and the same nut low.
Obst proceeded to chop a pot with Johannes Becker soon after when his A♠K♠9♠2♦ made the nut low on the 8♦5♠3♦Q♥Kx board. Becker's Q♠5♦5♣2♠ earned the high portion with a set of fives.
