Joining the action on the K♠10♦9♥ flop, Brad Ruben bet and then called a raise by Jason Daly as they headed to the 5♣ on the turn. Both checked to the J♣ river on which Ruben check-called a bet and mucked to the A♠A♦Q♠7♣ for broadway by Daly.
James Obst raised on the button and was called by Luis Velador in the big blind. On the 10♣5♦4♣ flop, Velador check-folded to a bet.
Obst then raised again in the cutoff and was called by Velador in the small blind. On a K♣2♣2♠ flop, Velador check-folded once more.
Last but not least, Obst raised the third hand in a for for Velador to call on the button. They checked all the way on the Q♥6♣4♥K♥K♠ board and the A♣J♣7♦2♥ of Obst won the pot.
Robert Yass and Jason Daly continued their duel from earlier on when they were the only ones left on the 10♠5♠5♦ flop following a check-raise by Daly, which Yass called. The 3♥ turn was bet by Daly and Yass went deep into the tank, checking his remaining shorter stack behind, before he made the call.
Daly also bet the K♣ on the river and Yass called to get shown the A♥J♦6♥5♥ for trips fives by his opponent. Yass had that beat with the A♠5♣3♣3♦ to scoop with a full house, leaving Daly rather frustrated.
An action hand took place between James Chen, Erik Seidel and Johannes Becker, with Chen kicking off the action by raising from the button.
Becker three-bet from the small blind and Seidel responded with a four-bet from the big blind. Both Chen and Becker called, and we would see a three-way flop of 8♣7♣7♦. Seidel bet out and was called by both Chen and Becker. Seidel bet the 10♣ turn and was called by both players again.
On the 8♥ river, Seidel bet once more and this time was only called by Chen. Seidel tabled A♣A♥5♣4♦ for an ace-high flush.
Ben Lamb raised from under the gun and James Obst three-bet in the cutoff for Lamb to call. On a flop of K♥K♦7♣, Lamb check-raised and Obst called as they headed to the 8♠ on the turn. The last few chips of Lamb went into the middle via bet, as Obst raised and he called all-in.
Ben Lamb: A♣K♣5♠3♣
James Obst: A♣A♦3♠3♦
The Q♣ river changed nothing whatsoever and Lamb earned a full double for his stack of 495,000.
Jason Daly raised it up and James Chen three-bet for Brad Ruben to call on the button, Daly also came along. On the 9♠8♣6♦ flop, Daly check-called a bet by Chen as Ruben also stuck around. That led them to the 4♣ turn on which Daly check-folded when Chen bet and Ruben called.
The 7♠ on the river saw Chen check-call a bet only to get shown A♠J♥10♦2♦ for the nut straight and nut low by Ruben.
Players are going on their last scheduled break of the night and will return to play one final level at 40,000/80,000 blinds and limits of 80,000/160,000
In a three-way three-bet pot to the 10♥8♥3♠ flop, James Obst checked out of the big blind. Luis Velador bet for Ben Lamb to call and Obst then check-raised to earn calls from both opponents.
The K♠ fell on the turn and Obst checked, Velador bet and the calls of Lamb and Obst followed.
That led them to the 8♣ on the river and Obst checked again. Velador bet to force out Lamb while Obst went into the tank. He eventually called and Velador announced ace-ten before revealing his A♠Q♦10♠2♥. That won the pot as Obst flung his cards towards the muck.
The start of the final level for the night saw Johannes Becker and Brad Ruben chip up, too, while Velador leaped into second place.
