Greg Raymer opened from under the gun before a player in middle position three-bet only to see a player on the button four-bet. Both Raymer and the middle position player made the call.
Raymer stood pat on the first draw and then bet after both of his opponents drew one. The middle position player called while the button player folded to send action heads-up to the second draw.
Both players stood pat on the second draw with Raymer check-calling a bet from his opponent.
Neither player decided to take a card on the final draw nor did they put any more chips into the middle. The middle position player showed down 9♦4♠2♣A♥ to take down the pot and leave Raymer on fumes.

With the late registration period now over, the total prizepool and payouts have been confirmed. A higher than expected 516 entrants generated a prizepool of $688,860 which will be split amongst the top 78 finishers, each of whom is guaranteed $2,409 for their efforts. The top prize will be $144,678 to accompany a gold WSOP bracelet.

David Bell won another pot, at a table containing not one, but two WSOP 2023 bracelet winners.
Joseph Altomonte got out of the way early, leaving Nick Schulman, David Bell and two other opponents to duke it out.
By the time they got to the final draw, only Schulman and Bell remained. Schulman bet 2,000 on the end and was called by Bell, who tabled 8♣3♦2♥A♠ to take the hand.

A player limped from under the gun before Maria Ho raised one seat over. Both the big blind and limper called.
The big blind and Ho took one card on the first draw while the under the gun player stood pat. Action then checked through to the second draw.
The same drawing pattern was repeated on the second draw but this time when the big blind checked, the under the gun player bet, receiving calls from Ho and the big blind.
The final draw saw Ho and the big blind take one more card but in an unfortunate turn of events, Ho's drawn 10♣ was accidentally exposed by the dealer. After the floor was called, the exposed card was shuffled back into the deck and a new card dealt to Ho who, facing a bet from the under the gun player, released her hand as did the big blind.

Picking up the action after the first draw, Barry Greenstein in middle position was involved in a hand with Benny Glaser on the button and a player in the big blind. The big blind bet, Greenstein raised all in and both Glaser and the big blind called.
The second draw saw the the big blind take one to Greenstein and Glaser's two after which the big blind bet and was called by Glaser.
On the final draw, the same drawing pattern was repeated. The big blind bet once more and this time Glaser tossed his hand away as the big blind tabled 7♦3♣2♥A♠ to scoop the pot and send Greenstein out of the tournament.
