Ruben Costa

Ankit Ahuja raised with A5 in early position to 500,000, and was called by Ruben Costa, who was in the big blind with Q10.

The flop ran out 10510. Both players got a piece of it, but Costa got the large part.

Costa checked, prompting Ahuja to bet 450,000. Costa then check-raised to 1,050,000 and Ahuja went all in, which covered his opponent. Costa snap-called with trip 10s.

The dealer placed 8 on the turn and Q on the river, giving Costa a double up on a 7,272,000 pot and leaving Ahuja on fumes.

Reard Gets Aggressive in Consecutive Hands

Nível 31 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

That’s the line Alexandre Reard appeared to take after raising in position in consecutive hands. It didn’t work on the previous hand when he raised on the button, only to be pushed out by Andres Korn’s three-bet out of the big blind.

But the WSOP bracelet winner got it done on the very next hand.

Reard raised to 450,000 from the cutoff with A8, and saw the button and small blind fold. Valentino Konakchiev was in the big blind and defended with 96.

The flop saw 9AQ on the board, which Konakchiev checked. Korn bet 325,000 and Konakchiev called. The turn produced 10 and another check from Konakchiev.

With the door open, Korn fired 550,000 in the pot to force his opponent to fold.
