Qiang Xu Comes Back to the Chip Lead on Final Day of $2,500 No Limit Hold'em Freezeout

Alexandre Reard
Alexandre Reard

Qiang Xu will lead the 11 returning players headed back to Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas today to play down to a winner in Event #19: $2,500 No-Limit Hold 'Em Freezeout at the 2023 World Series of Poker.

If Xu can close it out, he'll take home the first-place prize of $435,924 along with his first WSOP gold bracelet but with Alexandre Reard (4,800,000), Andres Korn (4,760,000) and Niall Farrell (1,700,000) all looking to add their second bracelet to their wrist, it will be no easy task.

Other notable players returning for Day 3 include Adam Swan, who won a massive double toward the end of Day 2 to bag 3,080,000, Timothy Miles, who will return to 3,775,000, and Valentino Konakchiev, who will un-bag 2,475,000 when play resumes.
