Pescatori Preparing For Another Event

Nível 9

Max Pescatori bet on a flop of 8♠2♥10♠ before a player in the hijack raised. Another opponent in the cutoff moved all in for less and Pescatori called.

The turn came the Q♦ and Pescatori check-called a bet to build a side pot. Pescatori again check-called on the K♥ turn.

His opponent turned over A♣10♣3♥7♣, but Pescatori had 8♥2♠3♦6♣ for two pair as both players mucked, the cutoff heading for the rail.

"Badugi," Pescatori said. "I'm preparing for the Badugi tournament."

Dirksen Gets Much-Needed Pot

Nível 9

Dustin Dirksen, runner-up in the $10,000 championship edition of this event last year, was sitting on a short stack as he raised from the big blind after an opponent on the button limped in. The button called as they saw a flop of 2♣6♠J♠.

Dirksen continued with a bet and the button called. Both players checked the 7♦ turn.

The river came the K♥ and Dirksen led out again. The button gave the decision some thought before flinging in a call.

"Two pair," Dirksen announced, turning over A♠10♣K♣2♥ for kings and deuces as he took in the pot to climb back up near the starting stack.

Neville Makes the Nuts

Nível 9

Action folded to the cutoff who came in for a raise and was called by both the button and Brent Neville in the small blind to see a flop of 10♠9♣3♠.

Neville checked to the cutoff who tossed in a bet and again received a call from both the button and Neville, leading to a 4♠ on the turn.

Neville took the lead and put a bet out before seeing the cutoff call and the button fold, prompting the dealer to put the K♦ out on the turn.

Neville lead with a bet again and after some thought, the cutoff player stuck in a call. Neville turned over the A♠J♥9♠2♠ for the nuts and his opponent quickly sent his cards to the muck.

Engel Makes Drama Call, Garner Drills the Flop

Nível 9

Allen Kessler had folded the previous hand in such a way that drew comment from his tablemates. "I don't believe it. Your first drama fold after 35 years," Ari Engel said.

"You make a drama fold. I'll make a drama call," Engel continued as he called a raise from Mike Garner. Ben Vidal also came along from the big blind.

The flop came 10♥A♦10♦ and Vidal bet out, which only Garner called. Vidal check-called a bet on the 9♣ turn.

The river came the 7♦ and Garner continued betting. Vidal called and Garner opened up A♥10♠ for the flopped full house. Vidal flashed the 10♣ before mucking.
