Varnado Turns Quads to Triple

Eric Varnado bet on a flop of K♠6♥2♣ and was called by Ben Vidal and Tomomitsu Ono.

The turn came the 6♣ and Varnado bet the rest of his chips. Vidal and Ono both called to the Q♠ river, where Vidal put out a bet. Ono tank-called and both players showed ace-king.

Varnado, though, had 8♠6♦6♠2♥ for quad sixes as he tripled up.

"How did you like that turn card," Erik Perry asked him as Varnado found new life in the tournament.

Pan bet into Mitseff who called and watched as the 7♥ landed on the turn.

Pan bet only to see Mitseff raise the rest of his chips into the pot. Pan called to put Mitseff at risk with one card to come as both players turned their cards on their backs.

The Q♣ fell on the river and with the best high and low hand, Pan scooped the pot, sending Mitseff to the rail in 15th place for $11,191.

Vidal bet the rest of his chips and got a quick call from Burnside who tabled the A♣K♦8♦4♦.

Vidal showed A♠A♦XxXx and exited the tournament area as his run ended in 12th place for $13,796.

Kost Scoops A Massive Pot

Action folded to Kyle Cartwright who raised from the button. Jim Collopy three-bet from the small blind only to see Nick Kost quickly four-bet from the big blind.

Cartwright and Collopy both called to see a 9♦Q♥4♣ flop. Collopy led into Kost who quickly raised which got Cartwright to fold before Collopy called and saw a 5♦ turn card with Kost.

Collopy opted to check-call a bet from Kost to get to the 6♥ river on which he decided once more to check-call a bet from Kost.

Kost tabled the A♦Q♠6♠2♥, good for both the high and the low as Kost scooped a massive multi-way four-bet pot and began to distance himself from the field.
