Other notable players carrying on to Day 2 include Phil Hellmuth, Pei (Jerry) Li, Kainalu McCue-Unciano, Mike Ruter, Rob Kuhn. The legendary Hellmuth heads into Day 2 with 665,000 as he searches for his 17th WSOP bracelet.

Some of the notable entrants who failed to complete the day included Kathy Liebert, 2004 WSOP Main Event champion Greg Raymer, Tiffany Michelle, Craig Varnell, Lexy Gavin-Mather, Mike Allis, Allen Cunningham, and Joseph Serock.

Before the bubble burst, a twenty-minute delay occurred after the dinner break due to a player sitting at the incorrect table and playing someone else’s stack, but it was soon rectified by the excellent staff at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. The bubble burst with two minutes left in Level 17, and eliminations were fast and furious afterward. The fast pace will likely continue through Day 2, which starts at Level 23 with blinds of 15,000/30,000 and a 30,000 big blind ante.

Tune in from 10:00 a.m. on June 5 as the PokerNews team continues following this exciting event until a winner is crowned.

Livingston Bricks Two Overcards and Flush Draw to Hit the Rail

Nível 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Alex Livingston
Alex Livingston

Alex Livingston raised to 5,500 under the gun and Patrick Royal called on the button before the big blind tossed in a call.

The dealer fanned a flop of 1072 and the action checked to Royal who slammed a stack of reds across the line for a bet of 35,000. The big blind quickly folded and Livingston pushed his entire stack of roughly 35,000 to make the call.

Alex Livingston: KQ
Patrick Royal: 108

Royal had flopped top pair, but Livingston was far from dead as he had two overcards and a flush draw. The 8 hit the turn, improving to two pair, leaving Livingston looking for only a spade. The 5 river was not one of them though as he left the table.

Depaulo's Two Pair Holds to Eliminate Opponent

Nível 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Ryan Depaulo
Ryan Depaulo

Ryan Depaulo raised to 4,500 in middle position and was called by the button and the big blind.

When the flop came K98, the big blind checked, and Depaulo continued for 4,500. The button made the call and the big blind mucked.

The A hit the turn, and Depaulo checked before his opponent jammed all-in for about 38,000. Depaulo snap-called by dropping a chip across the line and tabling his hand.

Button: A4
Ryan Depaulo: K8

Depaulo had flopped two pair but was still dodging plenty of outs as his opponent turned top pair and the nut flush draw. The 6 river wasn't one of his opponents outs though as he hit the rail.

Kiletto Busted in Unlucky Fashion

Nível 10 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Lily Kileto
Lily Kileto

Daryl Boatwright raised to 3,200 in early position and a player in late position jammed for about 43,000. Lily Kiletto was next to act and called off her stack of about 23,000 before Boatwright called off his stack of 21,000.

Daryl Boatwright: A3
Lily Kiletto: 1010
Late position: A10

Kiletto was in great shape until the AQ9 flop paired both players' ace. Boatwright flopped a flush draw to go with his ace and the 8 turn, and 8 river improved him to the nut flush to triple up as Kiletto hit the rail.

Tiffany Michelle

With about 9,000 in the middle, the flop read A102 and Tiffany Michelle check-raised the bet of 5,000 from Sabir Rasulov. The action was back on Rasulov and he jammed for 26,500 and Michelle called.

Sabir Rasulov: AJ
Tiffany Michelle: A8

Michelle had flopped top pair but ran into a bigger kicker. Unfortunately for Michelle, the 4 turn and 5 river were no help as she was left with just 1,400 in chips.

Barnes Makes Quads Against Colquhoun

Nível 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Shaun Colquhoun
Shaun Colquhoun

Darren Barnes opened to 1,800 before Shaun Colquhoun three-bet to 4,000. The action folded back around to Barnes as he jammed the rest of his 14,500 into the middle. Colquhoun quickly called.

Darren Barnes: KK
Shaun Colquhoun: AA

Barnes had run into the worst possible scenario until the dealer fanned a flop of KQJ, giving him top set.

Colquhoun was still drawing live though with his gutshot straight draw and overpair, however, the K turn gave Barnes quad kings to seal the deal and the 3 river was just a formality.

The flop was K10J and the small blind shoved in his stack of 30,000. Lily Kiletto was in middle position and thought for a minute before reluctantly folding. Dustin Myo called.

Before the cards were turned over Kiletto stated, "I'm going to regret this fold."

Small Blind: A2
Dustin Myo: KK

The turn was the 6 and the river was the 7 and the kings prevailed.

Kiletto stated that she was also on a flush draw.

Raymer Flops Top Set

Nível 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer

Greg Raymer was in the small blind on the river in a three-way pot. Both the flop and turn had checked through.

The board read 46AK6 and Raymer over-bet the pot to the tune of 10,000. The player in late position called and the player on the button folded saying, "If you didn't call, I was going to." and showed the QQ.

Raymer chirped, "That saved you!" and tabled the AA for a flopped top set, rivered full house, and a decent pot.

Allen Cunningham

Cards were on their back and Allen Cunningham was at risk when Pokernews arrived at the table.

Allen Cunningham: JJ
Elilton Gouveia: 44

Cunningham was looking clear to double on a board that read 9x2x10x6x but when the 4 hit the river, Gouveia took the lead with a set, sending Cunningham on his way.

We may see Cunningham back in the field shortly, as there is one reentry available to all runners all the way into the dinner break.
