With action on him, Derek Blenman bet on third street into his opponent, Pearce Arnold, who raised to 1,000. Blenman called, with the pot at approximately 2,400.

Blenman then lead out for 500 on fourth and was raised by Arnold to 1,000. Blenman put in the re-raise to 1,500 and Arnold capped it for 2,000. Blenman called and we were off to fifth street.

Blenman checked and Arnold bet 1,000. The call was made and cards were flipped. Arnold showed his full-house, Kings full of deuces, and Blenman mucked.

Event #9: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Starts Up at 3 P.M.

It is time for some stud action to hit the felt for the first time at the 2022 World Series of Poker at Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas with Event #9: $1,500 Seven Card Stud kicking off at 3 p.m. PDT.

The 2021 version of this event attracted 260 entrants to create a prize pool of $348,435. Emerging as the winner was Rafael Lebron of Washington, who won $82,262 and the gold bracelet for his efforts.

He defeated David Williams at heads-up. Shaun Deeb also made a run at another bracelet last year, but fell short after he finished in fifth place.

Play will get underway on Day 1 at 3 p.m. local time and will close after 15 40-minute levels. Players can register through the first 9 levels (~9:45 p.m.) and they receive a 25,000 starting stack for their entry fee. There will be a 15-minute break every three levels.

This tournament is scheduled for three days, with Day 2 (Sunday at 2 p.m.) and Day 3 (Monday at a time to be determined) operating under 60-minute levels with breaks every two.
