Colquhoun Runs Into a Cooler

Blinds: 20,000/40,000/40,000

Shaun Colquhoun raised from the cutoff and was met by all-ins from a short-stacked player in the small blind and an equally short-stacked Zack Peay in the big blind. Colquhoun called and went bounty hunting.

Zack Peay: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Shaun Colquhoun: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Small blind player: {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Colquhoun found a rough time to run into aces and the {6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds} runout couldn't save him as he dropped to under 1,000,000 chips.

Ace from Space Saves Zarcadoolas

Blinds: 15,000/30,000/30,000

Matthew Zarcadoolas was all-in for 425,000 from the small blind against a player in early position, who had a slightly smaller stack.

Opponent: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Matthew Zarcadoolas: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

"Ace from space!" Zarcadoolas cried when he saw his opponent's holding.

The flop of {4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} was no help to Zarcadoolas and the {10-Spades} on the turn didn't change things. Zarcadoolas stood up to leave before the dealer put down the {a-Spades} on the river to earn him the pot and eliminate the opponent, who stared blankly at the board in disbelief.
