Kushell Next to Fall

Nível 36 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

In a blind versus blind confrontation, Bob Kushell and Xiang Lin saw a flop of {q-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Kushell, in the big blind, moved all in for his last 5,000,000 and Lin called.

Kushell showed {q-Spades}{9-Spades} for a pair of queens, but Lin had out-flopped him with {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for two pair. The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Kushell wished the table luck before becoming the latest to make his way to the payout desk.

French Smacks the River to Double

Nível 36 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Dominick French moved his short stack of around 3,600,000 in from middle position and Samuel Laskowitz announced a call.

Dominick French: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Samuel Laskowitz: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

The board read {7-Hearts}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} by the turn as French was down to potentially his last river card of the tournament. But he spiked the {k-Spades} to earn a double up.

Pollard Hits Miracle Eight

Nível 36 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

The action was picked up when three players were all in and the cards were on their backs. William Pollard was at risk for his last 4,600,000 and another opponent shoved for 3,000,000. Vitor Abreu had both covered and made the call.

William Pollard: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Vitor Abreu: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}
Opponent: {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

On a flop of {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} it was looking like it might be the end of the road for Pollard as he needed an eight to survive. On the turn his wish came true when the {8-Hearts} rolled off. The {2-Diamonds} completed the board and Pollard almost tripled up to a healthy stack.

Harp Plays the Wrong Tune

Nível 36 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

Not long after busting Alon Guttman, Russ Harp would find himself all in after jamming for around 12,500,000 over a pre-flop raise. Next to act, Ari Oxman re-shoved for 13,500,000 and everyone got out of the way.

Russ Harp: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Ari Oxman: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Harp was dominated and fell further behind when the {9-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop gave Oxman top pair. Drawing to runner-runner, Harp didn't connect with the {6-Diamonds} turn or {10-Clubs} river as he headed for the payout desk.

Guttman Misses and Busts

Nível 36 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante

From early position, Russ Harp moved all in for 7,800,000 and Alon Guttman called in the small blind.

Alon Guttman: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Russ Harp: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

The {k-Spades}{2-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop gave Harp top pair, but it also gave Guttman the nut flush draw. The board {q-Spades}{6-Spades} ran out with two black cards but not the club Guttman was looking for.

The stacks were counted down and Harp had Guttman covered, sending him to the payout desk soon after coming back from break.

Clock Called on Lin as Schumacher Survives

Nível 35 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante

Xiang Lin raised to 1,500,000 from late position before Juliane Schumacher moved all in for around 7,500,000.

Lin went into the tank for several minutes, constantly counting down his chips and re-checking his cards. The table eventually called the clock on him.

As the tournament official counted down to zero, Lin folded pocket nines face up.

"That was an eight-minute hand. You took eight minutes off the clock," a tablemate admonished Lin after the hand.
