A huge pot was brewing over at Table 489 and Oscar Dao found himself in the middle of it as he and two other players had their chips in the middle and cards on their back preflop.

The flop drew oohs and ahhs from the table as Dao picked up the nut flush draw.

The turn changed nothing and Dao was still looking for an ace, king, or diamond. The river delivered just what he needed to drag the massive pot.

Action started with a raise from Jeffrey Rodgers from under the gun to 75,000. Middle position then three-bet to 250,000. Gio Yu decided to play for stacks from the button, pushing all in for slightly over 1 million, and Rodgers re-jammed for 1,25 million. Middle position thought for a minute, before folding face up.

Yu was at risk, behind, and had both suits covered by Rodgers. He was drawing to two hard outs as the flop ran out .

The turn offered no help with a , and Yu was left with one card to keep his tournament hopes alive.

The river fell , and Rodgers effectively doubled up with the dead money, raking in a massive pot to catapult him to chip leader whilst Yu was eliminated in 425th place.

After an early position player made it 60,000 to go, Jeff Shulman shipped in his remaining 180,000. Victoria Roshkovan was next to shove, for less than Shulman, and the original raiser asked for a count before tossing in a call.

Travis Colella was on the verge of causing controversy on his table. Action folded round to the blinds, where Kevon O'Donnell raised to 320,000, covering Travis Colella. Colella looked at his first card with an audible "oooh".

A glance at the second caused another squeak of excitement, then a pause as he eyed up the chips in the middle.

"It's a good hand", he declared, before thinking a moment. "Ok, I call."
