Battenberg Turns Full House in Three-Bet Pot

Nível 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

James Battenberg opened for 2,100 from under the gun and a player in early position raised to 6,000. It folded back around to Battenberg who took his time to decide before flatting.

The flop came {q-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Spades} and both players quickly checked.

The turn brought the {7-Hearts} to pair the board and Battenberg checked a second time. The early-position player put out a bet of 11,000 and was called.

On the {5-Diamonds} river, Battenberg checked and the early-position player thought for a few seconds before tapping the table and turning over {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

Battenberg flipped over {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for the turned full house.

Hadaway Hits Running Flush to Bust Aces

Nível 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

After several preflop raises, it was just David Hadaway and the under-the-gun player who saw the flop, paying 12,000 to do so.

On the {4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop, Hadaway's opponent led out for 15,000. Hadaway moved all in for a bit over 20,000. His opponent snap called with Hadaway covered.

David Hadaway: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

Hadaway was well behind, but the {k-Diamonds} on the turn gave him hope in the form of a flush draw. That hope was realized when the {q-Diamonds} river hit the board, giving Hadaway the flush and busting his opponent's aces.

Nível 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Opponent: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Bob Buckenmayer: {a-Spades}{4-Spades}

Dusza Behind But Survives

Nível 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

After a raise to 2,200 from Michael Loynd in early position, Stan Hackett called on the very next seat. Then Mark Dusza announced all-in for 15,900. Loynd took his time to think about the situation before folding.

It was clearer for Stan Hackett who snap-called and tried to eliminate Dusza.

Mark Dusza: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Stan Hackett: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Hackett was favorite but the {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades} board finally gave a pair of Tens for Dusza, who survived all-in.

Jewell's Aces Hold

Nível 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

After Chris Jewell opened from middle position for 1,700, the button jammed with the short stack of 28,000. Jewell made the call and the two tabled their hands.

Opponent: {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Chris Jewell: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Jewell was already well ahead, and the {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{j-Spades}{q-Spades} runout did nothing to change that. Jewell scooped the pot while his opponent went for the rail. The table seemed to be in disbelief that the button had shoved with that hand. "You're lucky he didn't have one of the hands he's supposed to have there like jacks or queens," one player told Jewell.
